Harmione: Soulmates

Hello, it’s Lia and before you start reading this essay, I’d like to make a few disclaimers. This essay is about why Harry and Hermione are soulmates. It is NOT about why Harry/Hermione is better than Harry/Ginny or why Hermione is better for Harry than Ginny, or why Harry and Ginny aren’t soulmates. I tried to keep this essay oriented fully on H/Hr. The only times Ginny/Hinny is mentioned are when the character/ship is directly involved in the scene and I have to analyze it. Hinny is brought up only once when it has nothing to do with the scene, the rest is only when it’s directly related. I hate comparing non-toxic ships or having to say one is better than the other which is why that’s avoided in this essay.

This essay includes 0 bashing. You won’t be able to find any type of hate towards any ship or character. Ron/Ginny/Romione/Hinny are all treated with nothing but respect and love.

And lastly, I didn’t write this essay to compare Harry/Ginny moments to Harry/Hermione moments and decide who the real soulmates are. I wrote it only to prove Harry and Hermione are soulmates so the essay is completely one sided. But I would actually love to read a Hinny/Romione “soulmates” essay written in a similar format.

Since Ginny and Hinny are mentioned in this essay multiple times, I feel the need to say this again: don’t twist my words here and claim I hate or dislike Ginny/Hinny. Comparing ships was avoided as much as I could, the only times they were even mildly compared, I tried clearing everything up so there would be no claiming that I hate one ship or think one is better than the other. My favorite ship is obviously Harmione but my second favorite is Hinny, third - Romione. Ginny and Hermione are my favorite characters with Ron taking second place. And remember than when I say that Harmione is my favorite, I’m in no way trying to claim that it’s also the best of them all. I don’t think any ship is objectively the best.

One of the most annoying genres of people on the internet are people who act like they believe science is one single monolithic thing. Like, you'll see an article saying something like "scientists studying the movement of tectonic plates", and then in the comments there'll be several smug people saying "smh why are scientists doing this instead of finding a cure for cancer", like. Why would a geologist be doing that.
