For a second he gathered himself in the store, looking around he tried to put the interaction out of his mind. Then a few more seconds and she was back, a small shock of blonde hair around a shelf. Mentally his brain came to a halt. The ghoul gave a look like he was ready to run again… but no response. He just stared at her, trying to will her away like that.
His stare was making her uncomfortable. She wasnt sure if it was something she had said or done. She started picking at her fingers nervously. “Um… is there something on my face,” she asked quietly as she started to blush.
Lacing his hands together he opened his mouth then shut it. Shit, he’d made this awkward with his leering which was… Sadly, this was not a first. She seemed normal enough considering she could see him, like she worked here.
His look rose again to her, hoping she’d stop the nervous gestures if he responded. “No. Nothing’s there… just…” The ghoul tapered off, touched a finger to the binding of a book beside him, pushing it in. He then removed it. “There’s nothing there.” He said it more flatly, resolutely this time around.
Lacing his hands together he looked the blonde over. “Do you have any history books?”
She watched him patiently with a smile as he responded. He seemed awfully nervous for someone so intimidating. His tattoos interested her but she tried not to start. “Oh- Uh. Um.” His question surprised her, “We do. Just uh. Follow me.” she said nervously before walking backwards a bit.
