Daniel’s locket hung around his neck. It was pure silver, shiny against his equally slick brocade vest and black cape. He sighed, eyes catching a beam of light, the party music thumping a remix of “Monster Mash” as he was pushed through the crowd toward the outskirts hoping to get a better view... He’d lost Tal again. She was still running when he’d seen her last and he barely knew anyone else.
Despite this, he’d wanted to dress up after all, there was no point in not doing so at a party. Yet, he’d also been nervous having never been to big events like these before... opted for a costume that hid his face, opting for wearing a mask, a plastic pumpkin on his head. He’d be lying if he said everyone was super kind to or around ghosts considering they weren’t the most powerful supernaturals in a lot of cases... but it was mostly the nerves that were getting to him. Daniel scanned the crowd and took the pumpkin off his head, hair askew as he leaned against a wall, catching his breath. He hoped no one could see through him... literally.
