I need some feedback.

I know I have been remiss and for that there is no apology, but I am willing to make amends. So I would like to ask you guys a few questions and I would be very happy if you would be so kind as to drop the answers in my askbox. They will not be published without your permission, of course.

It’s so cool of Emilie showing us all the originals of song lyrics pages and rat drawings from opheliac, flag, the asylum book it is just so cool to see the beginnings of things and appreciate what they turned into as we know them.its like looking down a rabbit hole or rat hole, either really works, and seeing something very personal to her and how it became something really special and important to many of us.

I have been terribly absent due to my offline duties such as college and there was still my late relapse on depression, so it has been a little difficult to stay on board. I'm on vacation now, and I'm also getting back on my feet, so now I'm assuming it's gonna be easier. Just wanted to say hello, apologize for being away and say that I have missed you all! xoxox

I think Asylum Letter II is the probably one of the hardest things to get through, besides the Diaries, because there is just so many emotional changes brought in those 20? pages. You have these intense high and equally intense lows. There’s just a lot going on. You literally become a different…

I completely agree with you. Asylum Letter number 2 is really very emotional, and, to be honest, besides Emilie’s first entries about her delayed stay in the waiting room, was what really struck me. Particularly, because I am fascinated with the victorian age, and the asylum theme is one of my favorites. But also, because of all those things you just stated. The way Emilie writes and makes her art and music gets under your skin and it makes you root for her. Even if you’ve never even met or had contact with this person, you still root for her, because it’s so striking. At least, for me, it was. And I guess if you can relate to some aspects of her story or her art, then the empathy goes even further. I, personally, fell in love with Emilie’s work because it is so open, so honest, so fearless. And so relatable (to me). ;) 65-amc

I know what you mean. Because the first couple hospital letters you’re like oh okay let’s see where this goes but then Emily shows up and that literally changes everything because you’re at the asylum at the end of the chapter and you can either walk away and forget about this girl or you start the next letter to see what she’s in for and how she starts to change as an individual. But I did find something new in the book that I never caught consciously before…it’s the drug diary and the chapters after it. There’s some really good hints in there as to what is really going on and it’s not even in between the lines. Just mentioned in a kind of offhand way.

Yes, when Emily appears, it changes everything, and then, also, a lot of things start making sense. Really? What did you perceive on the drug diaries? Also, maybe we should insert a read-more break to warn readers of spoilers about the book if we're gonna talk openly about it?
