ur legs give nala's a run for their money.
I’m not a crazy granola person. I like to wear beautiful clothes, and I like having a glass of wine, but it doesn’t mean I don’t work out every day and drink green juices.
MCKENLEY ;;
“Hey just throwing the idea out there. But good call.” The man nodded, who knew what impatience and fear could do to a stranger. Probably make them a little more irrational then normal. Disasters always caused chaos. Hues casting on the bottle that she showed. “At least it’s not the expensive stuff.” Kenley noted, not too worried about it. He was internally giving himself some flack for not grabbing a bottle on his way out. “Probably a good thing. Tequila and me, yeah I would have declined that at least in your company.” Some sort of professionalism had to be drawn but he offered a small smile in turn.
“I usually make good calls. I’d be a horrible employee if I didn’t.” There was so much happening around her that the only thing she could think to do was drink. That was how she handled most problems after all. Well, that and sex. But that would be too forward of her to suggest to her boss so she didn’t. “So you prefer to drink the cheap stuff? Good to know for future reference.” Not that she hoped to be in such a situation ever again. Athena immediately went to open the bottle as he spoke. “Oh, come on. I wouldn’t think any less of you if you cry when you’re drunk,” she joked. Then she heard the sound of something crackling. The bottle dropped from her hand and shattered on the floor. “Shit.” She turned her head when she smelled something burning. “Is it just me or does it smell like someone just decided to flat iron their hair right after washing it?”
SIMON· ;;
Simon was tapping at his phone screen when it happened - his texts to Ava were no longer going through, and he was becoming frustrated. What if his friend did something bad and lost control? What if he did? The two of them were gas-soaked rags in a fire in their respective shelters. At least speaking to someone with the same problem made him feel less alone, perhaps have a modicum more of vital self control.
But then the actual fire happened - Simon noticed it too late, as he was focused only on his own misfortune. It happened in an instant , and then all of a sudden there was a fire. Someone else was surrounded by the flames that quickly spread, and Simon moved to grab them by the back of their jacket and jerk them back. Meanwhile, he heard a sound of frustration from behind him, and he turned. The scent of blood almost sent his head spinning, but there was no way he could let that get the better of him now.
“What do you need help with?” He asked, trying not to sound as panicked as he felt.
The fire was the most unexpected thing about this entire situation. How the hell could this possibly happen with a storm this bad? Athena was sure that the lightning would just strike down on the ground near the building and not anything that would spark. But, of course, she was as unlucky as it got. Nothing was ever all sunshine and rainbows in her life. It actually made her laugh slightly. The situation was one that almost called for it. Well, in her situation at least.
“Oh no, I’m fine. Thanks though.” She looked at the guy she was speaking to. “Oh, hey. It’s you again. What’s up?”
MCKENLEY ;;
“Looks like you found my hiding spot –but hey you’re free to join all the worriers and impatient people if you’re that sick of me.” He quipped, figuring that bunkering down somewhere secluded seemed more appealing to the man. “If you’re mentioning it, you better share. But come on, Vodka–really? Guess beggars can’t be choosers though.”
“Um, absolutely not. You must think I’m crazy if you’d think I’d pick hanging out with all of these other people and not you. Your company isn’t too bad, ya know,” she stated with a shrug of her shoulders and showcased the bottle in her hands. It was a small one, but it would do the trick for the time being. Last thing she wanted to be was the drunk causing problems for everyone. “In my defense, it was the first thing I saw. I would’ve chose tequila, but all of this shit was happening.” She swirled her finger around them. Of course a clocktower would be her residence until this storm blew over. She really hated it.

“Oh, boss man, we’ve gotta stop running into each other like this. It’s just unhealthy to see each other this often.” Granted this wasn’t exactly a situation they had control over. To be honest, Athena was still confused as to what the hell was going on. A flood during the summer? It was as odd as it could get in East End. “Would this be a bad time to tell you I took a very tiny bottle of vodka from the store? I promise I’ll pay it back.”
MICHAEL
“Demanding wee thing aren’t you. Did your mother never teach you manners?”
“My mother taught me several manners, thank you very much. Have you never had a bad work out?”
ZEKE
“Didn’t say shit, princess.” Entitled brat, a thought that never really left the forefront of his mind, regardless of who he came across. “If this is any indication of how conversation would go, I’ll take a hard fucking pass. Find someone else to bark at.”
“First of all, ew? Second of all, just walk away then? No need to continue chatting it up if you don’t want to be.”
AVERY
“—Was it really that bad of a work out?”
“It really was, man. Do you ever have a good work out?”
THALIA
“Oh, someone had a really good workout, huh? Luckily for you, I kind of expected this already and got a full bottle waiting to be emptied by us. I don’t even have to talk while we do that, you know me.”
“You...are a lifesaver. This is why I love and cherish you. Literally fuck everyone else, I respect you and only you.”
NATHAN
“Wasn’t talkin’–honestly was just headin’ in that direction but I’ll be sure to keep the way clear for you darlin’.”
“My bad, pal. Working out makes me angry sometimes. Didn’t mean to take it out on you.”
MCKENLEY
“Oh I will, maybe I was just testing you. But I guess I’ll give you the cliche thanks.”
“How sweet of you, Mr. Upchurch. Saying thank you and everything. I’m sure that took a lot out of you.”
MCKENLEY
“Is that your own way of calling me a push over instead?”
“If I was going to call you a pushover, I would’ve called you a pushover. I’m just saying you’re a good boss. You’re not a dick. Treasure that compliment.”
