Rebrand

Hello, everybody who may stumble upon this post, I'm Athlas (used to go by Dino). I've finally decided to start sharing my art somewhere, and I've chosen Tumblr as the outlet as it's really one of the only social media I have. I have always only really drawn for myself, but I decided I wasn't really happy with that. I want to share my art, my ocs, my AUs, with other people. And, so, I've decided to start doing just that. Hello~

I would formally like to introduce the character I posted about in my previous post. My Honkai: Star Rail OC Midas.

This drawing is in chronological order of his development in the story. He would start off as Fang (far left character) and, due to a failed experiment involving remnants of The Swarm, acquire that mutated transformation beside him, as well as leave him disfigured as per the small headshot next to him. It would only be in Amphoreus, after absorbing some of Aglaea's 'Golden Thread' and mixing it with the bits of the Swarm that were in his DNA, would he become Midas. Beside Midas I've added the new form he acquired by wrapping himself in the golden thread (left of Midas), as well as the upgraded and controlled form of his Swarm mutation (on the right of Midas), which I tried making less insect and more draconic.

If there's enough interest, I could start writing for him and his HSR AU and maybe post here or on AO3. That's 'to be decided' for now.

C: Pfft, duh! 'Course not! Why would I be trying so hard to avoid mine if I did? Wait... that seamstress put you up to this, didn't she? What's next? Gonna try and convi-

M: Aglaea has no hand in this. I doubt we're even thinking of the same kind of 'destiny', anyways...

C: *deep sigh* Fine, you've piqued my curiosity, happy now!? That what you wanted? Go on, spill...

M: I personally disagree with the notion that 'destiny' refers to a predetermined path our lives are meant to follow. Rather, I believe 'destiny' to refer to a lifelong goal we were put in this world to achieve. How we get there is entirely up to us. All of this to say... I believe this world has more in store for you than any prophecy could predict, Cifera.

C: *a long pause, followed by a snicker, then a full giggle* That has to be the single cheesiest thing I've ever heard! Oh, you crack a girl up, 'Gold Mystery'~.

C:... But... thanks, anyways...

M: For?

C: For giving this old girl hope again... hope that she may come out of this one alive...

M: Don't worry...

From now on...

When the time comes to face fate again...

I like to make an important announcement that a man's mental health is just as important as a woman's. And I'm saying this as a woman myself.
