I write these words to you with a heart filled with pain and loss.

Here in the heart of the Gaza Strip, from the heart of suffering, pain, hunger, and a severe siege.

I lost my mother, who meant life and hope to me.

I lost the eldest who was my support in this life.

Now I am alone in this life. My family is suffering and going through very difficult circumstances. I have a young child and a wife who is three months pregnant. We are exhausted from hunger due to the lack of food and medicine.

My baby won't stop crying because he's hungry and wants baby milk. My wife needs healthy food, vitamins, and protein for her unborn child's health.

Because of the war, I lost my job and everything I owned, and I can't provide them with even the most basic necessities.

I ask for your help with a broken heart, a heart wracked with pain and loss.

lately, I've dusted off my old 3ds and looked into this thing called jailbreaking your console! I first heard about it bc I wanted to play Pokemon Unbound and missed the experience of playing on the ds instead of an emulator.

and wow it is so easy and quick and free and you can get all the 3ds/ds games, customization, and qol you ever wanted, all thanks to a long, long line of dedicated random people who figured out how to crack the 3ds, fought the people who tried to gatekeep the info to make a quick buck, preserved these old games, made a smorgasbord of sleek, free custom firmware for anything you could ever want (including reviving multiplayer servers), AND maintain a guide on how to mod your 3ds that's so easy a monkey could do it. we may live in the worst of times, but for those of us who love 3ds gaming, we are also living in the best of times!

lately i got in the habit of noticing the very little things, and they are usually all very beautiful. many of my friends and i have our interests overlap again as well, and i’ve gotten to see my irls more often. despite something i started becoming much bigger now than i anticipated, i’m quite enjoying the work i’ve made on it…

i just got my boombox up and running as well! it’s a bit jank when playing cd’s, and i’m not sure how to fix it, but otherwise it’s lovely. my gums have healed from their surgery without complication. the songs i have been listening to lately haven’t yet lost their luster.

it’s good times all around! i love my friends so much. don’t have too many of them on tumblr, but here you go. feel no obligation to contribute.

I don’t know how to explain what it feels like to watch your father slowly weaken in front of you.

Every day, I look at him and I see exhaustion in his face. Not only from illness, but from helplessness, from the cold, from constant uncertainty.

I am his son. I am supposed to protect him.

Instead, I stand there powerless, thinking about the things we cannot provide. Proper treatment. Consistent medicine. Nutritious food to help him regain strength. A safe, stable place where he can truly rest.

There is a specific kind of pain in watching your father try to stay strong for you while his body is failing him.

And there is an even heavier pain in knowing that help exists in this world, but it has not reached him yet.

This is not just about survival.

It is about giving my father a real chance to heal.

It is about his dignity.
