@darkwaterrevenant {trigger warnings; blood.}
sora finally spoke, moving as to get a better look at the gems β for all she knew, she might have more miscellaneous, shiny things on her ship, that she might have just forgotten about. but this wasn't the problem now. "at least you are sightly. i was expecting something else when i saw my crew spewing a fountain of blood from his neck, you know?", sora finally raised and eyebrow as she decided to sit on some of the wooden boxes, legs open and arms still crossed.
"my employer? i'm the captain, i am my own employer.", she lied through her teeth, knowing that this situation wouldn't get solved in an easy way any time soon. she was preparing to fight β after all, the stranger wasn't exactly welcome on her ship. "and what if those gems are mine? can't i have them?", she said, pointing a few ringed fingers towards the little pouch. "i am a lover of anything precious, you know, dear sightly stranger."
"Sightly? Was that meant to be a compliment?" Jangmi cannot help but to scoff, amused at the loth's unique manner of acknowledging her presence. She gives the fiend another once over with attentive eyes to try and gauge her temperament. Sura appeared calm and collected, rather unphased by her intrusion even in spite of the bloodshed that announced her arrival. Intimidation wouldn't work on this one, as expected for a yugoloth, Jangmi would need to speak her language a little more fluently to get the results that she wanted.
"Of course you are. I know all about you already," She begins to speak again, using her free hand to brush dust off a nearby crate with her sleeve so that she could have a seat.
She is no longer fussing with the pearl and instead keeps it pinched between her thumb and her index, her gaze still intently focused on the other. "Seeing as we both know that you're not entirely self employed for this current voyage, let's try this again, Sora."
The pads of her fingers begin to pale from the strength of her grip on the pearl, threatening to crush it within her grasp even though she still had yet to peel her eyes away from her. "You're here on behalf of a certain elf," Her eyes darken with hatred at the mere thought of the elven ambassador and her fingers press harder at the last word of her sentence, the pearl having been crushed successfully to a fine dust, "I have a vested interest in her failure, so to say. So if the guards were to find stolen goods aboard your vessel an Silver Tides suffers as a result, it would be a rather successful day for me indeed."
The vampire begins to smile almost gleefully at he mere thought of the shame it would bring to that wretched little sea witch to have her connections with Shou Lung burned over such a scandal. It is almost too tempting to deny but Jangmi was patient, she knew her demise would be all the more rewarding with time. So she clears her throat, regaining her focus and stepping closer to Sora with her palms in the air as if to show she was no threat for now.
"Although... You and your ship do not have to be collateral damage so long as you make the right choice in the next five minutes. I can make all of this go away with the flick of my wrist," Again she's smiling, smirking even, fangs almost peeking up at the corners of her lips. She reaches into the pocket of her dress and reveals a scroll tied with red ribbon, offering it to Sora with her head tilted playfully to the side, "What do you say, Captain, are you willing to risk your current contract for a new one?"
