happy 1-year anniversary of taylor announcing she got her masters back to all who celebrate
2 year cake
Actually loving the "taylor swift has a song about this" trend because it actively pushes against the age old belief of Taylor only writing about certain topics
TAYLOR SWIFT TTPD looks that could've been!
Justice for evermore and her absent cardigan 🥺
in the tags: you have been granted the ability to bring back three (but only three) cancelled shows for at least one more season. What do you choose?
Grinds my gears that Opalite is being discussed for having racist undertones for mentioning a past lover, let's not act like YBWM, for better or for worse, has been one of Taylor's biggest hits. On that note, let us also not forget that onyx night > opalite is just a repackage of twenty year dark night > daylight. Stop looking for things that are not there!!
Also idgaf, she was spot on when she said lyrically this album was a lot like folklore. There’s a song contrasting her life with the fate of a Shakespearean heroine. There’s a song using Elizabeth Taylor’s life story as a vehicle to talk about her own love life. There’s a song about man-made gemstones and how that’s akin to making your own luck. There’s a song with a full plot about deep betrayal and her masters. There’s a song about earnestness. A song telling a story about high school and a life lesson she learned. A wistful song about what she wants out of life. A song telling the story of a fictional star and her fan. She uses sweeping metaphors and aesthetic-sounding SAT words all throughout.
That’s the folklore shit people have been asking for, and a pop beat behind it literally does not change that.
the starlights ✨️
"Okay, so I have this tradition when, the eve before I have a new album that comes out that starts a new musical era, I listen to the entirety of the last album that I made. So I listened to Tortured Poets Department to say goodbye to it, and I do it every time. It's every night before a new album comes out!"
— Taylor on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on the last non-Showgirl song of her own she listened to (x)
Truly just incredible to learn.

Taylor with Max and Shellback, via Twitter (x)
im so obsessed with father figure sorry if you don't get it
folklore is the album with "with no one around to tweet it." evermore is the album with "i come back stronger than a 90s trend." i just want us all to remember
It can’t have been all that for a lyric video 😭
Love that every single time Taylor sings I ain't got to knock on wood you can hear a knock on wood, classic swiftian production choice that amplifies the lyrics and is funny af
