♟Clouds without a silver lining. [Intro/Open]
It had been a day she did not wish to spend confined within her office or simply anywhere close to the Great Court of Heaven. It hurt to stay close to buildings and places that held so many happy and upsetting images of her time with her father. Memories, of a time long gone, and a most bittersweet reverie when she allowed herself to indulge in it. Today had been just been that day, the anniversary of her father’s death.
She had tried to escape the pain by traveling to a different fragment, a different realm that would not stir the few thoughts she wished to keep in the deepest corner of her mind. Somehow, her aimless, yet calming, wandering brought her to what appeared to be a deserted town, one with an odd vibe at that. “An empty GAMEBOARD…?” Strange as it was, something caught her attention and slowly led her towards the grand doors of the nearby hotel. Whether out of childish curiosity over the unfitting building or something that ran deeper within her psyche compelled her to reach for the handle.
“Welcome to Hotel 666. Enjoy your stay, for eternity.”
And then the laughter reached her ears along with the ominous greeting. Whiping around, failing in her attempt to identify the source of the sound, Dlanor made the next most logical thing: confirm that the doors were indeed locked. If the young archbishop’s mood had been off before, this wasn’t doing much to make it better. Yet, the presence of a mystical force was so strong that the angel easily realized there was no way out without the gamemaster’s consent.
“This will not DO.” She might’ve been able to leave her post unattended due to the circumstances on this particular day, but she needed to find a way back quickly. For that, however, she’d need to play by this place’s rules and either find her way out or force the creator of the realm to release her. Was it mystery…? “To remain an uninformed player would be FOOLISH…” With that in mind, the child retrieved her keys after a quick glance around the lobby and proceeded to explore the facilities. It seemed she wouldn’t be able to properly mourn her father’s death this year, either.
And where was everybody?
III hadn't seen an active person around this hotel in a very long time, rather one that had caught his attention. Why had he always kept to himself? It was obviously not a way to make friends but then again when had the Arclight ever had a friend to call his own? Sure, Yuma was his friend even if didn't deserve it.. but no one here was someone that III could call a friend.
He only had the company of his older brother and that was it, not that he minded because IV didn't have any friends either... Was this the fate of the Arclight family? They had done many things wrong so maybe they didn't deserve it.
What was he to do now but walk throughout the hotel?
It was what III did every single day in hopes that someone would perk his interest or rather be interested in something that he also liked. It wasn't right to judge, III knew but a lot of the persons staying within this establishment had been a bit loud for the younger boys liking and IV was enough noise for him to last a single lifetime or in III's case two lifetimes.
Then he noticed a much shorter girl, holding a key and somehow maybe looking a little lost or was it something else? Before he realised he had walked right into her, knocking her shoulder slightly as his mind had been somewhere else at the time. III had never done anything like this before in his lifetime so he felt oddly embarrassed and somehow rude for what he had just done.
"Oh--"
Hands placed out in front of his body as he tried to sturdy himself, seeing if the female was alright too. How embarrassing for him! His cheeks flushed a quick pink of embarrassment before he cleared his throat, a soft apology falling from his lips.
"Are you alright? I apologise that I wasn't watching where I was going when I bumped into you. I didn't hurt you at all, did I?" Maybe III was overreacting but he was terribly sorry for what he had just done!
