Atlanta's Westside is BOOMING
By: Josh Hagler / Atlanta Office Space Broker
The influx of capital that is being poured into reviving the Westside of Atlanta has been unprecedented over the past few years.
The upward trajectory of development occurring in this once dilapidated industrial and rail-centric locale is occurring at a rate that is hard to keep up with when it comes to new developments.
I will do my small part to highlight four of the most exciting and innovative projects that have been announced recently or are currently breaking ground. STAY TUNED, THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.
"The first phase of Quarry Yards will bring the largest investment ($400 Million) the neighbourhood has ever seen" Former Braves player Mark Teixeira and Urban Creek Development put up a little bit of money, $400 Million to be exact to construct Quarry Yards.
Former Braves player Mark Teixeira and Urban Creek Development put up a little bit of money, $400 Million to be exact to construct Quarry Yards. This project will feature 575,000 square feet of Class A office space, 850 residential units, a 300-key hotel, and 75,000 square feet of retail and restaurants.Phase I of the project covers 70 acres near the Bankhead MARTA station (you read that right). The development will incorporate the highly anticipated Beltline Westside Trail, connecting the Bankhead and surrounding neighbourhoods to this upscale development. The important concerns regarding affordable housing will be a huge conversation topic moving forward as this project progresses.
This $400 Million 'Quarry Yards' development will be constructed in close proximity to the greatly anticipated park below (100 acres bigger than Piedmont Park).

That’s the takeaway from a batch of Westside Park at Bellwood Quarry renderings that offer the most detailed glimpses to date of what the transformative project (100 acres larger than Piedmont Park, eventually) will look like, right off the bat.
This park that will be constructed in Atlanta's booming Westside (Bellwood Quarry) is a gamechanger for the city and has the potential to change the economic landscape of the sector of Atlanta forever. When you pair a park of this magnitude with projects such as above mentioned 'Quarry Yards', the potential is unknown.
Below is a photo thread of the park that should be completed by late 2019:

T3 West Midtown in Atlanta Station
This is the look forward thinking tenants are earning for in a market (Atlanta) that lacks the industrial vibe. This project is exciting for the Westside submarket and Atlanta as a whole. The T3 project, spearheaded by Hines will bring 200,000 square feet of office space, all with an industrial vibe to the market. This building could be delivered by the end of 2019 if all goes according to plan.
Stockyards is a unique adaptive re-use of historic buildings dating back to the early 1900s. The developers have converted this property into a creative office loft mecca that will include top of the line restaurants as well as retail space. Stockyards is located in the newly thriving West Midtown. Developers will put up $30 million into this venture that transforms three former warehouses — such as, ancient meatpacking facilities from the early 1900s — into more than 130,000 square feet of retail space and coveted loft offices, rivalling the behemoth, Ponce City Market.
