Little to no emotion showed upon his face, even with the open wound oozing blood down his arm. It was odd, nobody had made him bleed in many years, he'd always been the one to land the final blow. It felt, humbling. That he wasn't this immortal like his god, or that it had been bestowed upon him. His stare was empty, even more so toward his nurse.

Brought out by her gentle voice. It was calm and no longer filled with such hostility. A subtle smile, such an attack was easy to avoid not even he knew why it did hit him. Watching her, that position making her look so childlike, making him smile softly. "I've had worse. This is just a graze." Watching the bandage, a faint redness but not like before. "I am not in pain. But why are you deciding to spend your time mending someone that wanted your head? That wants to destroy your being?" Confusion washing his face, why did she not run?

“Ha… most of what I’ve learned has just been through experience. I’ve lived in that world for a few thousand years before everything spilled out here.”

She moved around them, casting a small shielding spell as he spoke, before settling back down next to him.

“Both, actually. When I first assumed this form and woke up in the dominion, it was in a forest. I stumbled into a nest of them, and spent a few days unable to move and seeing the most horrific things. They tend to prefer their meat fresh, so it’s good for keeping their prey close… I’d just died so all the things I was seeing was all still rather... vivid. Painful.” Excruciating may have been a better word.

Her voice softened. “It was… awful. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, no matter who it was.”

His comment made her grin, thankful for the sharp back away from her sudden vulnerability. “What, you want me to leave you to the beasties? It would make my job easier, but I don’t think you really want that. Half the things here are frenzied because of your power to begin with.” She twirled her wand lazily. “I’m supposed to be observing you in case you’re up to something. Coulda kept distant, but there was no fun in that. And honestly, I’m tired. Not really looking for a fight right this second.”

Listening intently, it must've been reflections of the ancient past, the very same he saw - The Egyptian gods, the Dark One and the Pharaoh. Certainly a time period he would not forgo.

"Hah, so I have a minder is what you are implying? Watching over me, perhaps a bodyguard? What title would best fit you?" Taunting playfully as he stuck his sword into the ground with relative ease. "I am in no position to fight any longer, one battle with beasts is enough. Such terrifying magic, hm?" Clicking his tongue as his gaze fell onto the scenery around them "And yet.. this is the calmest I've felt for many centuries. It is nice to speak with one who somewhat understand the turmoil of being out of your own era."

The leviathan was really smart on how he picked Dartz to be his scapegoat/body. He tore everything from the king. He had to kill his wife who was turned into a monster, he went to war with the remaining members of his family, because leviathan drove him too.

Dartz was stripped of everything he had. He lost his home, family and friends all in like a day/week?

"The worst thing to do to a man isnt killing him. You kill his family."

The worst thing - he is out of his own time. He is in a completely new world, albeit he has adjusted but the unfamiliarity cant be good for a man.

The beast made it so Dartz has nothing too lose.

And that makes him insanely dangerous.
