There is something about Handsome Jack that makes him an amazing villain for me. SO bear with me as I ramble here, hear me out…

Starting from the very beginning, learning that he orchestrated part of the events of the first game to get the upper hand against his opponents when he was merely an employee at Hyperion; he was always a step ahead of everyone. 

He rose up to power so spectacularly and ruled for years! He was a mad genius! A nasty manipulative genius with incredible determination and cunning. Even in death he was a persistent tricky dick.

And yet, as powerful as he was, he lost everything in an instant as his insanity became his own downfall. There’s kind of a tragic part about him that often gets overlooked because of how spontaneous and charming he is. I still dare to say he’s kind of a tragic villain anyway.

Gosh I could go on about what I’ve seen in Handsome Jack but most is me probably analizing him a little too much. Iunno, I love him, he’s an incredible character.
