ive been going through a really hard time the past year. when i met alex in february 2012, i knew that would be a moment that would change things for me. it got worse before it got better, but because of him and the way i know he’s always got my back, im striving to be happy because i know he would want me to be. today im 3 weeks clean and i figured i owed alex to tell him that i was at that point of some kind of recovering because of him. hes always been the thing stopping me from ending my life. i told him that i was 3 weeks because of him and i dont know what i was expecting, but he looked me dead in the eye, smiled and said to me “thats so good, im so proud of you! keep it up, okay?” single. greatest. feeling. later on when he started the first few cords to therapy, he looked right over to me at the barricade and smiled at me like he knew how much the song has gotten me through. i love him to death.
