What I think Cyberpunk 2077 is about as someone who has not played the game (yet)
The year is 2077. The setting is Night City. You are V, who is either a stereotypical cyberpunk protagonist, a corporate ghoul who got fired from their desk job, or a cowboy who has just moved to the big city, depending on what you choose. Someone, I'm not sure who, gives you a job, I'm not sure what. What I do know is that this job leads to you getting Keanu Reaves implanted in your brain. You do not want a Keanu Reaves tulpa and your Keanu Reaves tulpa does not want to be there, but there he is, unable to go away or be gotten rid of. He is not called Keanu Reaves. He is called Long John Silver and he is different from Neil in The Matrix even though they are both Keanu Reaves. You are in debt to the ripperdoc for putting Long John Silver in your brain even though literally none of the involved parties intended for that to happen. There is also a company called Arasaka that owns everything. They're kind of like Apple or Amazon and they want to kill or maybe capture and study you and Long John Silver wants to blow up their headquarters. There are also tarot cards that help you become friends with Long John Silver. You can be straight or gay but not bisexual and you cannot romance Long John Silver. Aside from either trying to finish the job and blow up Arasaka or convincing Long John Silver not to do that, the game is about paying off the ripperdoc, doing odd jobs for people like learning to box and giving therapy to a sentient taxi, and crashing your car in interesting ways.
Except that his name is Johnny Silverhand, that's pretty much spot-on.
