how to feel better about yourself

brush your teeth, wash your face and take care of your hair as soon as you wake up. then open your windows. apply lotion on any areas that are dry.

get yourself a nourishing facial oil, black cumin, argan, rosehip and hemp are great choices, depending on your skintype. gently massage them into your damp skin.

apply some tinted lip balm and your favorite perfume, a scent that means something to you, even if you are just staying home.

fill a big bottle with water and try to finish it throughout the day. add lemon or mint if that makes it easier for you. teas are a nice addition to your diet, try drinking a cup to spearmint tea to refresh yourself.

nourish yourself with good foods, if you can cook a nutritious and comforting meal otherwise go for an easy snack, fruit is always a good choice.

a piece of advice my dad gave me and I’ve never forgotten is, “if you won’t worry about it in 4 months, don’t worry about it now.” saved me countless times, it’s a philosophy to adopt and help improve your life. Failed a test? ask yourself if you’ll think about this still in 4 months? Made a fool of yourself in public? I doubt even the people who saw it will remember it past today. Know you could have done better? Ran further? don’t beat yourself up over it, you can do better tomorrow. Don’t overthink things, a lot of negatives matter less than you think they do.
