Dropping a Stitch
The Feline Aquatic - for my boyfriend's mother's birthday!
Made for a friend’s bumblebee Halloween costume! Not my neatest work but I think they’re still pretty cute. AND they were super quick to work up!
Free pattern available here!
I feel like I should be held accountable for maintaining this blog even though I'm halfway down the east coast from all of my yarn. So instead here, have some of the terrible doodles I've been cranking out lately. ... Yikes, I need to practice more.
1-3: Trainer Atree with Pokémon 4-6: friends with Pokémon 7: illustration for an assignment 8: 9/11 artifacts at the Smithsonian
Some cute scrap yarn flower coasters that never found a home.
BABY STUFF BABY STUFF BABY STUFF!!! I’ve never made baby stuff or a blanket before, so it was great to knock these off my bucket list!  It’s about 4′ square, if I recall correctly and while the colors are super cute in person, they photograph funny.  I tried to edit my pictures accordingly but it didn’t really work out.  Still, I’m super pleased with this wicked adorable Blackberry Salad Baby Blanket and I hope the parents like it.
I think this was my first crochet project when I started crocheting in 2014.  It’s the wrong everything - I clearly messed up the bobble stitches, I picked a bad yarn for this, etc.  But hey, it was my first time crocheting so it really could have been worse.  Thinking of frogging it.
Some weird fingerless gloves I made with scrap yarn that I’ve had for over a decade.  I still have some of it left.  They’re honestly kinda ugly (probably because I made them in this shade of green) but I really like them for some reason which is why I haven’t gotten rid of them yet since I made these a few years ago.
An Olivia Cowl which I made sometime last fall, around September-November, I think.  Mostly while on the train or in class, haha.  It’s a nifty pattern and I enjoyed it although the results are so subtle  that I’m not sure how I feel about it.  Also not sure how I feel about the drape.  Perhaps I just picked the wrong yarn.
A couple of hats I made a years ago with some spare yarn and that I still need to send off to Knots of Love.  I think these are amongst the first five things I’ve ever crochet.
I have so much to update but here are some thank you notes I scribbled for some sweet Walt Disney World Cast Members in the meantime. Also, I've been spending a lot of time on Instagram lately so feel free to follow me there!
This weekend I finally did a simple cosplay I've always dreamed of doing. Happy 20th, Pokémon!
And here's a sneak peek at a birthday present I'm finishing up!
Haven't been that active lately but here's a quick birthday doodle made for the same friend that received the Escher scarf!
Wanted to draw a Witchsona but it turned into just a not-worth-scanning doodle of Actual Me but with a magical pen. Whoops.
Happy New Year!
Here’s my 2015 Christmas gift to my father.  I don’t know if I picked the best yarn for it but it came out well.  I like the pattern though; the scarf is super squishy and warm!
I’m pretty sure my father has already lost this scarf.  That or my mother threw it out accidentally on her cleaning binge.  It hadn’t even been worn yet.  I can’t overemphasize my frustration.
Ahaha... I forgot to take pictures of the right side before this was spirited away to the Netherlands.  Alas, this is the Cubic Scarf inspired by none other than M. C. Escher’s work.  I have been wanting an Escher scarf for a while and fortunately i got the chance to test this out!  This scarf is a little over five feet long and currently en route to the Netherlands to be given to a friend’s Escher-loving boyfriend.  As a bonus, he’s my friend too so I hope he likes it!
This was my first time double knitting and while it was kind of boring and frustrating at first, I got the hang of it quickly and am excited by the doors now open to me! Â The possibilities are as endless as an Escher staircase.
As a final note: I’m so grateful I’m a continental style knitter.  So grateful.
