originally i was going to deviate from the season five canon (and noted that on the carrd) where maddie goes to boston because i was frustrated that she left chimney and didn't ask him for help again when she needed it, but i've rewatched the complete show a few times since then and i get it now, i can understand why she didn't, and so she's firmly canon now. i'm fine to gloss over that storyline if it's a trigger for anyone but that's the only reason i won't write it.

also they hyphenated so they both have the same last name as jee-yun now. (but i already have the tags and this works better for crossovers, etc, so that won't change)

yellow, a study in wildfires, honeycombs, and summer rain. everyone sees you smiling and laughing, happy in all the ways but the way that you know is true to you. everyone believes that nothing bad could happen to you, that you live life so freely that you'd never miss a beat, even if something bad DID happen to happen around or to you. but you're as miserable as the rest of them. you might be warm and gentle, when you need to be, but at the end of the day, you have long since accepted that fire is like you: best to be admired but never touched. tagged by: @nodunkiing tagging: you!

     Lore didn’t give a damn about the full moon. He is as large as four or five wolves when he shifts into his bear form, and his bite force is greater as well. If they have even the vaguest common sense, they’ll know to avoid him in there. The problem is that the other bjorn here, one whose name he has yet to discover, may not give them equal berth. A whole pack of wolves could do some damage — in fact, Lore intends to do some damage to the bear as retribution — but when a bjorn dies, they have a tendency to shift back to their human form. It would be a major problem, both for the discovery of their kind and for the pack that just unknowingly killed someone thinking that they were a rabid animal.

     He could put down an enchantment to try to keep the werewolves out, though. The forest had already taken some damage from the intruder bjorn and was firmly on Lore’s side. The dryads and nymphs had offered him their support and magic, and he can always use mountain ash in the areas that are most likely to be approached, though without a full ring, he wouldn’t be able to repel them entirely. There was water in the preserve, too, and if he could lure a siren into it, that would help too… the plan was a work in progress but he had several angles to pursue.

     Stiles’s words were ridiculous to him and he almost wanted to stop listening altogether. Permission! The noise that punched out of him was one of disbelieving amusement. “Don’t make me threaten you and you won’t have to do a thing about me. I’m just telling you to get out of the way and stay out, nothing else.”

“What was a threat? That was a promise.” The handle of Stiles’ bat is warm now. He can never really tell if it has something to do with the ash it’s coated in or if it’s just a side effect of holding it and it absorbing his body heat. “I’m not sure where you’re from, buddy, but around here everyone asks before hopping into someone’s backyard.” They’ve already had some strange things happening in the forest, and Stiles can just bet that the guy in front of him is going to pull some guff about being the only one who can fix what’s going on. Stiles is pretty sure that Derek can also fix what’s happening, although the Hale’s plan probably relies a lot on someone getting bloody. Based on what the wolves have seen, Stiles is sure that this guy isn’t the one that’s been getting up to shenanigans in the woods, but if he’s here poking around, he does know something about it. He really can’t get over the fact that no one seems to want to share information within the supernatural community. It would probably have resulted in a whole lot less mess and death when different families met up — but Stiles was just a human, and who one earth would ever ask him for his opinion (besides Scott, but he was also new to the whole thing and didn’t have the same hangups). “If you know Deaton, I’m sure you know that we have a hunting family in town too.” It’s really only fair to give that kind of heads up. The Argents are a formidable force even when you know they’re there — when they sneak up, they’re terrifying. “So yeah, permission is kind of a cover your own ass thing around here.” He points the bat at the other man, poking his shoulder with it. “Explain something to me. Why do all supernatural beings think that regular manners don’t apply to you? I mean, you are trying to blend in with regular society — do you not thank the person who gets you your cup of coffee too, or am I just special?”

The Bound Woman: You wake to find yourself handcuffed to a radiator and steps coming down the stairs… verse: teen wolf

☆        it wasn’t the discomfort in her shoulders, the numbness in her wrists, or the noise coming down from down the hall; it was the noise from the person tied up against her back that ultimately made her eyes pop open. Taking in a quick survey of her surroundings, her adrenaline spiked when she realized that she had no idea where she was, and her she forced herself to settle at the notion that she was merely hand cuffed. Clearly, they didn’t know much about her if they thought standard metal handcuffs were going to hold her. Aside from the soreness in her head from where she’d initially been knocked out, Margot was fairly certain that she was okay. 

all she had to focus on now was making sure that both she and Stiles got out of this alive. She wasn’t sure how long they’d been gone, but she had to reckon that his Dad, and hers, were looking for them. Scott, as well, and if she had to guess, he’d have roped in Isaac and Allison at the very least by this point. Outlasting was their best chance at survival, but Margot was ready to fight too. 

which was why her attention snapped solely over to her usual partner in crime. It wasn’t hard for her to figure out who was stuck here with her. ‘ Stiles, ‘ she murmured, trying not to draw anyone’s attention but his. ‘ are you awake? are you alright? ‘ she asked, keeping her tone calm despite the worry she felt. 

however, as she heard footsteps coming up towards them, Margot shut up, preparing herself for anything that came through that door. Instinctively, she reached for his arm, giving it a reassuring squeeze as the door swung open.

“No, I’m unconscious.” Stiles rolled his eyes, though he was sure it wasn’t that noticeable considering he hadn’t opened them yet. His ribs ached and he was one hundred percent sure that someone had kicked him while he was unconscious. Totally unfair. If Stiles was going to get beaten up, he wanted to be conscious for it. “I’m so glad I came home for spring break. This is a spectacular thing I’m going to have to explain to my roommate when I get back to school.” He took a deep breath, tapping his fingers against the inside of his wrist. “We’ve been gone about two hours. They didn’t take my watch.” That was either an oversight or they absolutely didn’t care that they knew. Which meant they were either stupid or planning to kill them. Stiles would just like to say that he found both of those things offensive. “Who do you think shows up first, the dads or the werewolves?” He mused, cracking an eye open to look around. Oh. Perfect. Another dingy, gross little basement. Because they hadn’t visited enough of them so far. “Hey, remember when I said that hanging out with you wasn’t that bad? I take it back.” He wasn’t sure if she was grabbing his arm for her sanity or his, but Stiles shrugged at her as they both fell silent. They’d been talking about... not vampires, Derek had made a face when Stiles suggested they might exist. Ham—hammer? Something Icelandic that could change into whatever animal it ate last. Which. Gross. He rubbed his finger and thumb together, willing a spark to appear. What could they do but wait? Well. He could annoy them. “I really hope this is a food delivery, we’ve definitely missed dinner by this point.”

     “No, I don’t wanna play poker and if Keith walks in here and sees me playing cards, he’d probably come up with some rule to try and fire me,” he complained, which wasn’t true because true to Robin’s word, there were more pretty girls coming in since he’d started working there, contrary to how Scoops had gone. He blamed the uniform. “No, Dustin begged to go to Star Wars and as smart as he is, I don’t think he actually hears anything after the word ‘no’. And books aren’t fun, they’re boring.”

“Keith isn’t going to fire you. You know what he likes? Money. You know what a handsome guy behind the counter brings in? Girls. Who spend money.” Barb waved a hand dismissively. She might have been listening to Robin’s rant about working at the video store the last time they all hung out together. “You realize you have a foot and about fifty pounds on the kid, you could have slammed the door on him if you really didn’t want to go.” She didn’t believe the put upon persona that Steve was trying to use. “You can say you wanted to see the princess in that gold bikini, but otherwise I’m going to assume that space opera movies are your jam.” Barb leaned across the counter, staring intently at Steve. “Really? Books are boring. All of them? Even... James Bond?”

     “There’s definitely no difference. Bookworms are nerds,” he asserted, giving her a flat look as she did…whatever she was doing with the cards. She hadn’t even told him what game she was planning on likely dragging him into, but there was no way in hell he was a nerd - he hung out with nerds, sure, and he’d been convinced to go see Star Wars because Dustin was obsessed, but that didn’t make him a nerd. The drawing thing might have, but there was a reason he kept that shit underwraps. “I can’t remember the last book I read, actually.”

“Relax, these aren’t for you. Unless you like playing five card draw.” Barb shrugged, tapping the deck. “No, that’s — I need them for a project, I don’t actually play poker.” She rolled her eyes at Steve’s continued insistence that he wasn’t a nerd. “You and Dustin went to go see Star Wars,” she reminded him, arching an eyebrow. “I know you like him, but that doesn’t seem like enough to get you to a movie you’re not sort of interested in. Harrington.” A sigh. “Books are fun, you know that. Right? They’re not a punishment.”

There was nothing more frustrating than being at school with a psychic — there was no chance for a secret to stay a secret. The problem was that Jean wasn't even trying to spy on anyone, she just knew things. Even keeping a snack stash secret was more difficult than it should be.

"You really have to work on when you say things out loud," she offered. It was the closest that she was willing to give as an apology, because she was. Embarrassed. "I was really hoping that would stay, you know, in my head."

Now that Barb thought about it, it probably wasn’t the best idea to disappear at the pool. Poor Nancy. She should probably have thought about that before letting the rest of them go inside ahead of her. Barb could have — should have — at least told someone that she was going to stay out for a bit. A quick glance at her watch proved that it had only be a few minutes.

“Hey, Nance.” Barb looked over at her, her elbows resting on her knees. “It looks different now, doesn’t it?” It helped that it was the middle of the day and bright and sunny. “It was empty. In the Upside Down,” she clarified, though Nancy had probably already connected the dots. “I like it better this way.” She added, readjusting her glasses and standing up. “That’s about enough reminiscing for the day, I think.”

hello my nerdy friends!!

i’m off for a week at the beach and as a gift to myself, this is probably the only thing you’ll see for the week! there may be some headcanons, but i’m putting the pause on replies. if i am lucky, i may work on some of my drafts in between relaxing, however, it is a vacation and i’m not going to push it! i will be checking for replies before bed, though if you could send me a tumblr dm with a link that would also be very appreciated.

i will miss you all dearly and hopefully i get a tan and don’t turn into a lobster.

‘ Technically the bird got into a fight with me. ’ And no birds had been harmed in this altercation. Only Bucky’s poor finger. He’d be having words with Sam. 

He’s not exactly sure of what to make of the other’s assessment of him. He supposes it’s fair enough. There have been a few instances where his name’s been put up again in the headlines under questionable moralities. There were social media polls debating who’s side he was really on, but so far, he’s managed to toe the line with the requests of his pardon. Which means if he wants to pick a fight with someone, he has to be discreet about it. 

‘ Yeah, but you didn’t ask me about the weather. ’

Were birds even capable of getting into a fight? Well, with each other, sure, but did they look at humans as competitors or antagonists? If they did, then everyone would probably be getting divebombed on a daily basis. Pigeons were already jerks. They didn’t really need more motivation.

“Huh. I didn’t, did I?” Peter scratches at his cheek, the mask slipping a little under his fingers. “How’s the weather on your end of the city? It’s been a bit rainy over here,” he offers. He rolls his shoulder idly, aiming over Bucky’s shoulder and throwing a small web ball. It smacks against the basketball that’s obviously escaped from the court below, trapping it against the roof before it can bean the older man in the head.

“Next time we should pick a roof that’s not next to a basketball game, I think. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure they get it back.”
