Rrrrrrrruff!! The small creature huffed, wriggling in Hayden’s arms. “Oh, don’t worry, little guy.” Comforting the sad pup, he looked up to them, head cocked to the side. “I take it you’re more of a cat person..” He didn’t fully realize at that moment, that they were a ‘cat person’.

“Well, now that’s not entirely true. My father is a cat. So I’m a cat. And-- well, I’m not a cat right now but back home, things are quite different. A queen’s son is to be a prince, and her daughters princesses. That’s not to say that Alice’s children, should she have any, would be expected to slay the Jabberwock, especially since from the way the Hatter told the story the Jabberwock is very much dead. But, it could have had children. Who knows the business of the Jabberwock? Certainly not me. I think you’ll find in many instances a parent’s life does impact their child’s fate.”

“It’s a funny thing, doors. We don’t have many of them in Wonderland. Well, perhaps that’s not quite right. We have them, have plenty. But they mostly all go to one place. The castles and such, I hear, have many doors, which I imagine take you many places. But as for homes and such, only one door. Only one place to go. Inside. Or, rather, outside, if you’re already in. So, two places to go. But they’re very different. The doors here. They take you many places, and some of those places look exactly identical. It’s a wonder anyone finds anything here.”
