This is my blog post 10, and this image is from an oversized picture book on the 6th floor of alkek library at Texas State. I love the black and white contrast in this image of the book, almost looking at a canyon from Birds Eye view to see all the ridges and hills that comes along with it. The incredible amount of detail you can see in each part of this image is amazing and very cool to see. I like that the picture is in black and white to really point out the detail in this picture, I feel as though if it were in color the detail wouldn't have shown as much or be as interesting. The perfect amount of white to black shadows to really make this a very beautiful piece of art work and showing other people what can be done as well.

This is my blog post 9. I have chosen this image of a drawing of a beautiful lion. This makes me think of this 'Lion King' when Mufasa told Simba there are past kings in the sky and if he needs him to look there and he will be seen. This shows the great strength and pride a lion has depicted through this image, shown through the big fury mane and the deep white eyes. Creating a sense of bravery as well in this image. The detail shown here is immaculate and beautiful in every way. You can see every wrinkle in the nose, every hair in the main and every dark crevasse. Shown like wind pushing around in the mane like a fan blowing. The drawing shows shading that is dark and mysterious like the lions around the world, we don't know much about them but what we do know is how brave and strong they are.

This is my blog post 8. This drawing makes me see the beauty in the female face. Like the beauty of a flower there is beauty within us and everyone around us as well. I love that this artist chose to draw a female face within the flower showing that Beauty within them both. Also the fact that this drawing is in black and white shows that you don't need color to replicate the lovely looks of the female face. The look of the female face growing out of the flower showing the audience they are one with each other. The detail in this image is very well put together and shows how they wanted to show the world. The shading in this drawing is very well accomplished and very well thought out. This is a very nice picture to look at and acknowledge as very significant to the girls in the world, that there is beauty within all of us.

This is my blog post 7. This is a picture I took downtown San Antonio at the pearl. I used a film camera with black and white film, and what I love most about this picture is how evident the smoker smoke is in this picture. How you can see every little detail in here that makes it worth looking at in my opinion. The angle at which I took it also shows variety, instead of the basic straight forward picture, it looks like you could reach out and touch the balcony. This was one of my favorite pictures that I have taken on film. Seeing how there is a hue of gray to the sky making it not so blown out and really making the picture its best. Noticing the shadows still have details in them even when it may be too dark to see, it just makes the picture worth looking at.

This is my blog post number 6. This is one of my own pictures, on the campus of Texas state. I saw this building and my thought process was that you can find the light within the darkness and there are people or guardians (the birds) there to help pull you out of that darkness. This image really spoke to me, and made me feel hopeful when there can be darkness in life. When I was walking around Texas state I didn't really make this connection with this photo first off but later thought and came to this conclusion of finding that light. I've also noticed the nice warm colors in the sun and how cool and almost blue it is in the shadows. Most of the colors in this picture feel warm and welcoming and feels very calm and loving. I find peace looking at this picture and find more beauty when I look at it.

This is my blog post number 5. I am unsure of the artist who created this piece, it is called a world within a world. I really like the detail in the art piece, it reminds me of when I used to watch spray paint art on YouTube and they could create anything with spray paint and newspaper or even circles to create something new. Using some other tools they have around them to create such a beautiful piece like this one. It is like spilling from the first world to make a whole new world where you can see ew things. If I was looking at these pieces closer I believe it could look like it was done with spray paint and I can see how much detail is really in this piece of work. Going from a non-existent world to a world we know, knowing about the animals that are in this world and how they reflect our thinking on this subject of mythology. I go back to thinking about how this art piece was made and how I would watch similar ideas on YouTube when I was younger, being amazed at how they could create such a beautiful thing like that. Just thinking all back to then is making me reminisce in the beauty that people can create with dedication and hard work.

This is my blog post 4. This is from famous autumn paintings by famous artists, I'm not sure who this is specifically. This art specifically caught my eye mainly because of the only tree that doesn't have many leaves left on it. noticing how they are also very different from each other longer, smaller, and even how perky or dull they might look as well. Even the color of the sky shows very fun ideas, like putting the color red in when you normally wouldn't see that. Seeing the distance from the trees and mountains to the sun as you look back to through the painting. Full trees and wilted trees showing differences in life, like whether you're happy or sad and can tell what you start to look at. I like that the artist chose to use different colors that are not your normal, that they chose to use a different perspective on how they might view the world as.

This is my blog post 3, I'm not positive on who the artist is that painted this picture. The art exhibit is art as a language: How Eclectic Gallery Artists Communicate through their work. I chose this picture mainly because liked the way it looked, all the colors and ideas they used to create this art piece. Like a child that draws on the walls and maybe draws on themselves. Thinking back to when we are young and would create what we thought was beautiful and what we can relate to as a young child. Almost showing the craziness that goes on in their head comes out on the wall or on their canvas, like they want to show what they came there to do, to show off. I love how realistic the painting is and how well everything combines together to make this piece. How they make there own colors to things like the sun isn't yellow and the bushes aren't green, they create their own ways of thinking and their own color patterns in their world in their head. In a way is really inspiring that they choose to do what they want and they don't care what other people have to say. They choose to create a world of fantasy and love with themselves. The craziness that is in their head and comes out on paper to create their little world with such beautiful ideas.

This is my post number 2. This painting was created by Megan Aroon, she created this piece in December of 2011. This picture drew my eye in with the colors and shapes that are being used here. Megan Aroon is a domestic abuse surviver and creates such pieces like this one, with passion and thought and the intent to inspire and empower women. Creating this idea through the unique symbols implemented in the designs. She takes her inspiration through nature and different subjects that are around her, living in such areas like Alaska,florida, and Hawaii. finding different aspects to inspire her more. Anything she sees around her she pulls into and draws to its fullest potential to show the viewer an enriching and pleasurable experience. she loves to paint fun but sophisticated pieces to really show the chid inside of us but still fitting into the contemporary style that she still has. Meagans dramatic style emboldens bravery to go where we once feared.

This post is for my core two class, this is post number 1. I just loved this image and wanted to share my thoughts on it. This image is called "Tree of a thousand lights" by Marjorie Sarnat. What drew me to this image was that the idea that you don't have to use the basic artist tools but use something out of the box like shown here, seems the artist has used different canvases to combine into this one art form. Although it's not typical to see these colors on an art piece such as a tree but it brings new light in, and shows that the artist wanted to try something new. This shows me that I can outside the norm and try new things that you don't typically see. It's really beautiful to see that all these paintings together can create a very beautiful piece. This is a really beautiful piece.
