Audrey was along for the ride and unfortunately that ride landed her in the middle of nowhere on an island.

The mechanic had taken over the family business successfully from her father. Fixing cars and living her days out in the garage. An opportunity had presented itself in the UK to work at another local mechanic business as a favor to its owner, this one involved high end luxury cars instead of the tractors and lower end cars she saw every day. She saw it as a new next step.

She didn't expect she'd stay longer than a few months. But she also didn't expect that Gen would find her way into her garage and completely take over her life. Really, it was sort of the definition of a U-haul. They fell fast and both were more than happy to catch the other.
