it's that time again: poll the followers for book recs!!!

That's right! I'm looking for new things to read now that summer's coming - and I've gotten a new job with a set schedule every week!! - so I'm turning to some of my favorite people once again. Last time, y'all didn't let me down, so I'm here again!

I see some of you posting a lot about certain series - The Mortal Instruments, Divergent (is that what it's called? idek), and Vampire Academy among them - and do you guys think I'd like those? Or even just standalones, or just authors, or whatever. Anything you like that you want to share, let me know!!

(But please don't tell me Looking For Alaska, because I tried it, couldn't get past the first two pages. That probably makes me a blasphemer on Tumblr, but I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the book, that it's not beautifully written, or anything like that - I can't say that, I didn't read enough of it to know - only that it didn't capture me right away, and I couldn't get any further. Maybe one day I'll try again, but not right now.)

I'll actually give almost anything a try, so don't worry about genre - the only things I don't really read are comic books and flat-out romance novels - but my favorite corners of the literary world are historical fiction, YA stuff, mystery/crime, and WWII and Vietnam War nonfiction.
