So, weâve lived in our house five years and my library has largely been in boxes until a couple days ago. . I know. Itâs embarrassing. . I sat on it because I donât have a large amount of bookcases. . Well, my amazing wife surprised me the other day and unpacked all of them so I could finally enjoy them. . Iâm still working on the shelf situation, but at least I can see all my old friends. . My wife took the picture and she even added a little setup at the bottom-center (because sheâs awesome and supportive). See it? . Iâm a little overwhelmed. I even bought a few of these twice, because I wasnât about to dig through 20+ boxes to find them. . Itâs like having my own bookstore in the basement. . Ok, gotta go. Back to exploring. . This is the second book (ebook) completed in the month of august. My ratings 4.5â/5. Nine Pines by @august.birch.writer . Synopsis: the story revolves around a place called Nine Pines and 9 people who are "demons" and masking an image of being good (most of them are). The story begins with the place introducing herself to you with her history and how in her ruin she still wants a better life for her people along with a bit of supernatural in one or two story's. What I loved about this book was it's a thriller and once I started I couldn't stop myself!! (Devoured it by 5-6 hours) the story is being told by the place of how the history is forgotten even by the travellers :: her rise and downfall. How her people who are sweet on the outside and demons on the inside. How she feels burden to stay on and see more wretched things happen and longs to take off with the storm. I especially loved the stories of The Sheriff and The Drunk. The only thing I didn't like was I felt disconnected with the last story.
