Kind of a redraw but also more like a finished wip *sweats*

Severely disliked this piece and just gave up on it for about a year before returning to finish it. Feels like now I have the skills to execute the vision I had in my head at the time.

Do you have advice on how to improve at art? I've been drawing on and off since I was a kid and I draw more consistently now as an adult but I still don't feel like I'm improving much. I still don't like my line work or colors or poses and I never understood how value works or color value. I feel like giving up on art most days.

To be honest, genshin got me drawing the most consistently i've ever drawn over the past 2 years and that's how i've seen the most improvement. it's pretty normal for artists of any skill level to be unhappy with their own art (i get the feeling every other day...) but i think what helps the most is genuinely enjoying the process. i can only suggest so much without knowing your circumstances, but the saying "comparison is the thief of joy" rings true in a lot of situations, so try not to compare yourself to other artists if it demotivates you or makes you want to give up. find what you enjoy about doing art and just keep doing it. challenge yourself a little bit in each piece by doing one thing outside of your comfort zone, your enjoyment of the process will carry you far in improving your skills than constantly banging your head against a wall if it's not enjoyable.
