Sorting Scarlet/Violet characters into Hogwarts Houses Part 1 - The Rivals
Arven: Ravenclaw. This boy managed to figure out how to survive on his own for years after being abandoned by his parents. He also found a potential cure for his dying dog when modern medicine failed him. That takes a lot of intelligence and cleverness. He clearly plans ahead and does his research since he warns you about every Titan and informs you that you’ll need a Champion and someone good with technology to get to the Zero Lab. Also Ravenclaw traits. Finally, Arven can whip up tasty sandwiches using ingredients he’s never used before (the Herba Mystica). He’s very creative in that way. A good secondary would be Hufflepuff since he’s so devoted to his Mabosstiff.
Nemona: Gryffindor. Loves battling and is looking for a true rival, and always wants to battle whenever you meet up with her. And she’s the only one (other than the MC) who doesn’t seem scared or dreading going into Area Zero in The Way Home arc. In fact, it excites her because she views it as an adventure. Nemona is a perfect fit for Gryffindor. Hufflepuff secondary, since she’s so friendly and always encouraging you to do your best.
Penny: Slytherin. She proves that she’s willing to do anything for her friends. Penny comes up with an elaborate scheme to take down Team Star by using their own code against them. She pulls you into her plan by hiding her identity and role in Team Star by pretending to be someone else and not revealing herself until the end. And she entices you to keep going by rewarding you with LP that she hacked into the League and stole in order to get them! And the reason that Team Star even exists in the first place is because it was Penny’s plan to stop the bullying at the academy (even though things went awry in the end). All of this sneaky behavior and ambitious projects makes Penny a great fit for Slytherin. Ravenclaw is the perfect secondary, since it takes a lot of brains to pull off the stuff that she did.
Carmine: This one was difficult, because Carmine is a complex character. She starts out hostile and aggressive, being distrustful of outsiders. But as she grows more friendly towards you, you find out that she only really wants to protect Kieran, her community and eventually Ogerpon. This is why she worries so much about Kieran in The Indigo Disk. And though Carmine makes some bad choices (such as lying to Kieran about seeing Ogerpon), she has a good heart deep down. Because of her desire to protect those she loves, I would put Carmine in Gryffindor. Secondary could be Hufflepuff because of loyalty or Slytherin because of the things Carmine is willing to do.
Kieran: This was a toss up between Hufflepuff and Slytherin. In The Teal Mask, Kieran is (for the most part) a Hufflepuff. He’s a shy, insecure boy looking to make a friend and sympathizes with a creature who is an outsider like him. But at Blueberry Academy, he’s the definition of a Slytherin - willing to train and push himself and his Pokémon to the extreme to achieve his goals of becoming stronger and getting revenge. But once he snaps out of it, he seems to become more like the boy in The Teal Mask. This is confirmed in Mochi Mayhem where Kieran has become more outgoing and brave, but is mostly the same as he was before The Indigo Disk. This leads me to believe that Kieran’s Hufflepuff traits are his true nature. Maybe Slytherin could be his secondary house.
Lacey: Hufflepuff. A sweet girl who cares about justice and fairness. Need I say more? Gryffindor secondary for her strong sense of justice.
Amarys: Amarys is always calm, rational, and analytical. She likes to run on schedule, but isn’t hasty. Even in the face of an angry Kieran, Amarys remains calm and logical. Seems like a pure Ravenclaw.
Drayton: After learning about your history with Kieran, Drayton asks you to join the BB League Club solely to take down Kieran. Even though his heart is in the right place, we can’t deny that this is kinda manipulative. Drayton seems lazy and self-centered, but clearly Drayton is capable of some scheming. To me, this seems like the traits of a Slytherin. Maybe a Ravenclaw secondary?
Crispin: We don’t get to see much of Crispin in the story, so it’s hard to fully evaluate him. From what we do see, though, Crispin seems very friendly, tolerant, kind and unafraid of change. He also accepts that he has to step down from the League Club Elite Four because of the club rules, even though he’s unhappy about it. That shows he cares about fairness. So I would put him in Hufflepuff.
