Warnings: Mentions of Sexual Themes
After their encounter, Mr. Schlatt has some difficulty to try and resolve the conflict with his only love. But they were too occupied for his attention. After the party was over, He took his time to reflect on his relationship that the two once had whilst walking in the garden of the Wrensliede Estate.
Chapter II: Jonathan Schlatt
I couldn’t piece things together. What did I do wrong? I thought he missed me as much as I did? My goodness, I am an idiot. I watched him walk away, painfully slow. I haven’t got to my feet to stop him, tell him that everything is all right. It felt too real to come true, just pure fantasy. A nightmare.
“Please stay… with me Y/N, you are only what I have.”
I mutter, a single tear dropped, that was all I shed that night, cold, burning against my cheek. The very pressure in my chest, irritating, could almost tear me apart to relieve the stress. I have not felt this before, what is it? Why does it hurt so much when Y/N is not here with me anymore? I need him, but I feel that whatever I do won’t ever matter. I sat here until I was soon well presented. Dusted my coat as I made my way back, It was a long but not too short walk, the stars slowly painting themselves above the dark blue sky—Oh how heavenly it was to see, upon each glitter, felt like each soul was giving me pity, some mourning for my loss of a loved one, while others laughed and judged, ready to announce my transgression. But what is love if it’s such a crime? Seems to be quite unfair that this world has become. I made my way inside and most of the fellow men greeted me, some old friends I recognized and some I have not met, perhaps they are new residents of this fine town.
“Where have you gone off to Mr. Schlatt?”
Said Lady Avelot, daughter of Lord Oswald Watson. She’s quite a fine maiden I do say. I gave her a kiss on her wrist as she bowed and blushed.
“Just for a walk during this lovely evening, How is your brother?”
“Mr. Watson is doing splendidly! Made some purchases of land for our expansion of fathers manor,”
“Now that is wonderful to hear.”
She giggled, covering her mouth with her hand, the many pieces of jewelry she had almost blinded me. I talked with a few more gentlemen when I noticed Y/N across the room again, avoiding my gaze. He laughed with some tall gentlemen, I couldn’t get a look at his face, but his stance looked almost familiar. The two exchanged more laughter before the stranger walked away. I saw his face and it was my old friend. Theodore Kennedy is one I have grown up with, If he’s here then so is Charles, but he isn’t anywhere to be seen. I wanted to go speak with Y/N, it was my chance and only chance to be sincere, but someone else had plans. Matthew Watson… Urgh.
“Sir Matthew! Oh how delighted to have you finally join us!”
He chuckled as they both embrace each other. I felt sick as if the wine I had was about to come back up. He was tall for sure but didn’t past my height. His hair was well combed and brown, like the dark wood of the flooring. I remembered as children, Matthew would always play with Y/N before I could even get a chance to have my turn. Almost as if he favoured him. The two chatted as I watched from afar—but difficult from the music and the many people talking. It was getting too loud for my comfort and almost deafening. I could go deaf or blind, maybe both. I don’t want to be here anymore but I need to speak with Y/N.
“Oh, how I missed that sweet smile Mr. Wrensliede. Look at you, all grown up,”
“Ha! amongst all, you have thy most dazzling smile of all.”
The two were flirting, it was obvious, unfortunately, the other guests never noticed. I wanted to approach them, pull them apart and just kiss Y/N till he falls in love with me again. I don’t want Matthew to take him away from me, I will not allow that to happen.
“Well it has been a week since I’ve been away, London is a frantic place to stride alone in, You shall accompany me on my next trip, yes?”
“You know how I feel about that city, too much smoke, I am deeply sorry but I mustn’t,”
I wanted to break them apart, His leer and demonic handsome features, as slim as he is, he does appear to swoop you into surprise. I remember long ago he used to blame me for eating Silas’ apples, and ever since, I still kept the weight of that man’s anger and beatings. How selfish of a man Matthew can be, cruel at most. But everyone views him as an excellent and spectacular individual. Rich, very—but stupid as a peasant.
“Well excuse me Mr. Wrensliede, I need to refresh myself with a drink.”
Now that he is alone, Now it’s my move—
“Excuse me, your Lordship, your father has requested your presence in his office,”
The two made their way out of the room, Oh great, He seems even more occupied. I followed from behind, quietly so as to not get caught. The fine carpets of these grand hallways were helpful for my stealth, as well as the large vases holding such beautiful flowers by the walls. They went upstairs and I did too, slowly down the hallway—whenever they turn left, right, then left again, until Silas’ quarters. The paintings watched, knowing that what I’m doing is very much intruding. The servant knocked on the door three times, gentle but enough for the man to hear. She opened the door for Y/N, only he went in.
“You’re excused, Annette,”
She closed the door and I quickly hid behind the curtain. I could hear her approach, then swiftly walk past me, the sound of my heart beating as I waited a bit more. I walked out from my spot, then slowly towards the door. I kneeled down to the keyhole and placed my ear, eavesdropping on their conversation. It was muffled but I could make out a few.
“What do you mean she has scarlet fever?”
“—we’ll have to find a trustworthy doctor in order to treat her, wherever they may be,”
“You mean you’ll be the one that shall find one,”
“Y/N… I am doing what I can, you mustn’t fret!”
I leaned closer, my ear pinned against the metal plating of the keyhole, unaware of my surroundings, Mr. Watson seemed to have tagged along, in his fancy dark blue suit, he crept his way slowly behind me. Reaching ever so slightly.
“Now how cheeky could you be, hmm?”
I never felt so scared in my life, at that moment I could’ve let out a scream, cry out my fright, and broken whatever cover I had. I held it in, rather angry instead of cowering. So he followed me, just fantastic.
“I don’t want anything from the likes of you, just a bit… curious, that is all”
The way he sipped on his glass, made me want to tackle him, let out my anger and pain I went through as a child when he would just cry and get all the sympathy from the Wrensliedes, lunacy that they favour him more than me. My attributes and character are more finer and reliable than that scheming, lying of a man Mr. Matthew Watson.
“Well enough of your curiosity and leave,”
“But oh Mr. Schlunt, How could I ever take my focus away when you’re on your knees, humorous I’d say, you’re insignificance is such entertaining I must say,”
“Just shut your mouth and let me eavesdrop,”
Watson chuckled, before walking over to the doors facing the outdoor walkways. He opened the door and stepped outside, breathing in the fresh air—he stepped aside, waiting for me to join.
“Will you mind doing it out here, it’s terrible to get caught doing such acts.”
I gave in, how pathetic I am. Either way, I would’ve been caught, or perhaps Watson would announce my intrusion and have me banished from seeing Y/N ever again. We both were outside Lord Silas’s office a few feet away. Watson motioned for me to be quiet as we sneaked on the side walls, slowly making our way to the opened window that is his office.
“Your mother will either have to stay back in Paris, for her treatment and health, I can’t promise you that I will be able to bring her back home,”
“But she’s my mother, father, please! Is there at least something you can do?”
“I am afraid there’s nothing that I can do in this situation. What we must do is wait, have the doctor tell us if she’ll be all right.”
I heard Y/N cry, a few sniffles hurt my heart and hearing him suffer is never a great thing for me to bear. Watson seemed to be enjoying it. My love continued to let out his pain, his anxiety. I want nothing to do but go inside and comfort him, make him feel happy and supported.
“You should get some rest, Y/N,”
“I’ll deal with it, what matters is that you need rest, sleep.”
Y/N left, leaving Silas alone in his room. Watson and I waited, as the old man walked over to the window and closed it, sealing it. Now both of us didn’t seem to have any clue what is happening, his face was confused yet intrigued. We walked back to the party, silent. I didn’t know what to say and neither did Watson as well. Once we got back to the ballroom, It was starting to get late, people were getting ready to leave, and one by one they were out the door. Watson left as well, in his fine carriage, black with wooden carvings of flowers. He rode away, like everyone else did until it was only just myself. Alone at the entrance of Wrensliede Estate. No carriage arrived, as I walked my way here from Everlynn Street. Not too far, only just a twelve-minute walk. I went down the steps, y feet crushing the gravel beneath. I strode my way over towards Silas’ garden.
Passing many blossom trees, which were imported from Japan, a beautiful deal they made. The pink petals waved in the wind, whispering amongst each other, gossiping about what they saw and heard. Finally reaching the garden, I walked past it, only making my way to the apple tree that Y/N and I were just at earlier. The bitten fruit and broken glass were still there, now the wine dried out, the apple was not infested with insects, now getting the very treat they were waiting for. I could crush them with my heel, feeling the apple tear against my foot. I wonder if bugs could scream? It would be lovely to hear it. I sat down against the tree, my back feeling the hard carvings of the wood, my legs outstretched, flat on the ground. The moon cast its heavenly glow on my face, shining its way through the many whispering leaves of the tree. I looked over to the estate, out of the many large windows on the second floor, Y/N’s room was lit. He must be up, reading whatever novel or resisting the dictionary… I’m not sure what he does anymore. It’s been so long since we used to run around the flower fields, under tree after tree. I would tackle him with kisses and hugs as we hid under the many reeds. His giggles made me smother my love even more. What he would do, was very out of character for someone like him. His hand on my groin, his gentleness, his smirk. Each time I would stop and look at him, nervously wondering what he would do next. My garments felt tight when he did that.
I reach my hand down my area, feeling it now erect. I remember clearly how he would always make me feel, his touch, his sweet moans. He and I were very much not saints back then, he was a devious creature. His alluring gaze—insatiable. Whenever I would thrust myself inside him, he would beg for me to go harder, which I did.
“Dear Y/N, I’m feeling too much right now… Please let us stop,”
“Come now, you were just about to release,” Y/N pouted.
I couldn’t resist that face, so I came—all over his hand, it reached his chin. He smiled, letting me watch helplessly as he licked my semen off his hand. Oh how wrong it and unholy the scene was, but I loved every bit of it. I reached over and wiped the drop on his chin, he froze as I had my mess on my thumb. What he did, made me hard every time I think about it. He sucked on my thumb, caressing my wrist as he did. I looked around, in case someone was near, but no one. Just two lovers in a wheat field, alone and in love.
I opened my eyes again, looking down to which my hand was very much stroking my erection. I am disgusted with myself, so I continued to rub myself, my clothes suffocating me. I moaned out quietly, biting my lip as I went faster. All I could see was his face, his smile, his eyes, the way his hair flowed in the wind, or his laughter when I did a humorous thing. It was not long before I came, pulling away my hand, covered in my spill. I grabbed my handkerchief, cleaned off my mess, and tucked it back in. I checked my watch, wondering about the time.
I looked over to Y/N’s window, his room still lit, but this time dimmed. I grew curious and got up, trying to get a good view, to my luck it wasn’t very much great. So I got the very idea of climbing the tree. I must admit, I’m not a skilled climber. My athletic is good, just haven’t done this in a while. Once I reached the top of the branch, I got a decent view of Y/N’s room. There he was, painting on a half-finished canvas. I couldn’t see much of what he was making, but I can tell it looked beautiful. I leaned over to get a better look since the painting looked very lovely. The more I lean in, the more I could see his art, how colourful with the pastels were, the paint of a tree, riddled with red and bluish apples. I wanted more, I need to see more—
I yelped as I tipped over, my tie getting caught on the stub of the branch. Only for a short second, I felt like I was choking, my legs dangling, the weight of my body hanging from the branch torn the tie as I fell to the ground, in a coughing fit I rubbed my neck. That’s going to be a bruise in the morning. I look up to see a tear of my favourite cloth stuck above, waving in the air. I looked over to Y/N’s window—for a split second, I hid behind the tree, so as to not get spotted as he opened his window, looking around, wondering what noise he had heard.
“Hello? Anyone out there?”
Y/N looked at the apple tree, nothing out of the ordinary, just the tree. Y/N however spotted a piece of cloth, stuck on a branch, he wondered but didn’t care, as it was probably some nest material for a bird, but it did look familiar. He closed his window and went to prepare for his slumber. I was almost caught yet again. I felt tired myself, I didn’t care about my tie-up above, I could get it later. I got up and walked my way home, leaving the Wrensliede Estate, passing the opened gates, I glanced back, the home of my love sound asleep. No lights on, just darkness.
Goodnight Little N/N, see you in the morning.
