Your Muse comes into mine's house to hang out, only to find that the place has been robbed and the robbers left my muse bleeding on the floor. Send me your reaction.

"Oh, so you sing? I like singingâŠnot for taking it as a profession, but I love it; I think if you go and check, there a couple of coffee shops that look for performers, I could take you to one I know, and I think thereâs another, Iâm not sure," He thought for a moment, trying to recall the place. He was not even sure which coffee shop he visited. "WellâŠI could always accept some help in the housecleaning? Plus, I suck with cooking, I donât know if you could give me a hand with that?" He asked, offering him a reassuring smile.
"I've always loved it," Aurelius smiled. "Ever since I was little. My uncles used to say that I was born with the gift of song." He looked down for a moment, trying not to dwell on the thought of his uncles for too long. "I had an audition for a show, but I gave them my... someone else's number to call at. So that's probably a bust." He huffed softly, secretly angry at his past self for not thinking ahead. "I'm good with cleaning. Decent with cooking. I'm more of a baker, but I can make a few quiches and meat pies and stuff like that. If you like that sort of stuff."
He shook his head slightly, relenting. âFine, you win.â Stubborn lad, he thought. There clearly had to be something to it, judging by the way he looked at Killian and seemed to recoil somewhat. But it wasnât Killianâs place to ask questions at this juncture. He bit his lip for a moment, thinking. He then pulled out all the change from his pocket. âDust in the Wind by Kansas?â
"Good choice," Aurelius commented as he began to play the opening notes. He had grown up listening to bands that his uncles favored, and lucky for him, Uncle Merrick had a taste for Kansas. Clearing his throat softly, he began singing the opening lyrics, a little quietly at first. He never was all that comfortable singing for strangers so personally. "I close my eyes, only for a moment and the moment's gone..." Thankfully, he knew the song reasonably well, so he could play it without much thought.

"Are we really doing this?"
"Are you doing this to upset me?"
"Friends don't look at each other like that."
"Give me a chance."
"I am not doing that."
"I can prove you wrong."
"I can show you the world."
"I did a bad thing."
"I don't want to love you, but I do."
"I missed you."
"I regret last night."
"I think we can pull through."
"I think you need to get in my bed. Now."
"I thought you were gone forever."
"I want you naked. Now."
"I'm a bad person."
"I'm breaking up with you."
"I'm not who you think I am."
"I'm pregnant."
"If you and I were the only two people alive on the planet, I still wouldn't have sex you."
"Marry me?"
"Please, don't do this."
"Stop yelling at me."
"That outfit would look better on my bedroom floor."
"There is no one I hate more than you."
"This is not fair."
"This is not the time nor place."
"We are not getting a pet."
"We can't do this anymore."
"What are you doing?"
"Who do you think you are?"
"Why are you doing this to me?"
"Why aren't you answering my calls?"
"You shouldn't have done that."
"You'll regret this."
"You're being inappropriate."
"You're the one person I actually trust."
Lucien dropped his hand after the brief shaking, laughing almost a little darkly "You sure about that, bud?" He nodded, leading the way "Good, they donât have just tamales either. They mostly have pastries and baked goods, but they do like fried bologna sandwiches and other shit too. Theyâre Americans these ones." Lu almost stopped when Aurelius got all serious, he glanced at him and raised his hands with an incredulous look on his face "I didnât even think of calling you that, so.. no problem-o."
"Good," Aurelius nodded quietly. "Sorry. Just... bad connections." He shrugged, not wanting to really go into detail as he walked behind Lucien. "You might have to make some recommendations. I haven't had Latin food since... ever." He laughed softly.Â
"Wow, that is, an extreme challenge, likeâŠreally, a whole nation? It should be amazing to have servants, a throne and all that stuff, but, to manage the weight of a kingdom?" He shook his head, glad he wouldnât get such a fate. Laying a comforting arm on the blondeâs shoulder, Andrew patted it softly, knowing this boy needed help. And he was willing to help. "Well, you need help, and I can help you, I see no reason for ignoring you in these moments."
Aurelius nodded. "I mean, I know a little about politics and all that, but... I've never wanted anything to do with that. I came to London in the first place to sing, not to get caught up in any of this." He sighed, shoulders slumping under Andrew's arm, "I just don't know what to do." Managing to look up once the other resumed talking to him, he looked the other's face over, biting his lip. "I-I'll stay with you. But I have to do something in return. I don't want anyone to give me anything."
Killian heaved another sigh, observing the young manâs unsteady condition. âLook boyo, youâre barely on your feet. Take care of yourself and then perhaps weâll talk requests, hm?â He raised his brows at him, pulling out enough money for some food. âYou canât hope to get much out of people if youâre not 100%, yeah?â
Aurelius glanced down at the money, then back up at the man, stepping back slightly when they locked eyes. He knew that pretty much everything these days reminded him of Taka, but the piercing blue was just too much to handle. "It doesn't matter," he whispered. "I'm not looking for money. I came here to sing." Sighing, he tuned his guitar before beginning to simply play chords, repeating, "You can tell me what you'd want to hear."
Killian had been out and about, taking in London all over again. He hadnât been here in quite a few years. He was much more a boy the last time he wandered the streets and saw the sights. He turned a corner and took note of a rather downtrodden young man sitting against one of the buildings up ahead. He knitted his brows, studying him as he approached. âFortuneâs certain not smiling down on you is it, lad?â He sighed, reaching into his pockets for any loose change.
Lifting his head slightly, Aurelius shook his head, shaking it harder when he saw the other searching for change. "No, no, you... y-you don't have to give me anything. Not unless I'm singing." He sighed, forcing himself to his feet, taking a moment to steady his wooziness before going to unpack his guitar. He hadn't eaten since he had gotten kicked out, half out of depression and half out of lack of money. Still, he pulled out his guitar, slinging it over his shoulder. "Do you have any requests?"
By the middle of the story, Andrewâs eyes grew wider, not expecting the prince part. âH-hold on, you are a prince?â He asked, clearing his throat after realizing that was not the most important part.
"Oh, eh, sorry, IâŠIâve never had a boyfriend actually, but I bet it has to feel awful once you break upâŠabout the homeless partâŠthere are a lot of rooms we donât really use at home, you can, come over if you want?"
Aurelius didn't notice Andrew's throat clearing, just nodding as he pulled his knees closer to his chest. "Y-Yeah. And they want me to leave everything behind and go rule over the country." He just shook his head, letting out a long and shaky sigh. However, when the other mentioned he had extra room in his house, he sat up slightly, looking over the other in shock and confusion. "W-Why would you want to help me?"
Andrew tucked his lips between his teeth, sadly confirming his suspicions. âItâs sad to hear that, bud,â He sighed, just taking the same position right next to him, hands together over his knees. âI would hear that, maybe I can, help you some wayâŠI donât know in which way but Iâm willing to hear.â He patted the blondeâs shoulder comfortingly.
Aurelius bit his lip softly before sighing, "It's all just so much. I was dating this guy, who's the most wonderful person I've ever met, and then I got a letter from my uncles at home saying that I need to come home because I'm a prince, somehow, and then my boyfriend broke up with me and now I'm homeless and hungry and... hopeless."
It had been three months since his parents left, and his brother would keep shutting him out. Andrew decided not to enclose himself anymore, he would be of age soonâŠtwo years, that was âsoonâ for him. Plus, he had spent so many years at home just waiting for his brother to open the door. Andrew made him company even when he rejected him. It was pretty depressing after some time.
As he walked down the streets, he looked around, noticing a blonde boy, close to his age. He noticed something was going wrong. Andrew could feel those things. âUm, I know, a complete stranger, hello, but I couldnât help but notice you, all aloneâŠis something wrong?â Any company was good company at this point.
Aurelius glanced up when he heard a voice from next to him, only to be met with the concerned face of a stranger. Wiping his eyes, he sniffled. "A lot's going wrong, yeah." He let out a long sigh, adjusting his position so that he was sitting a little bit up on the wall. "I don't really know if you'd want to hear about it."
Aurelius sat with his back pressed up against the walls of the buildings he usually played against, closing his eyes as he tried to breathe. Everything was piling up on him now-- Taka had kicked him out, the letter still needed an answer, and he could barely bring himself to play anymore, meaning he was starving. Sighing weakly, he whispered, "What's wrong with me?"
Lucien sort of eyed Aurelius when he wiped at his eyes, but he just extended his hand quickly "Lucien Tremaine, hi." He cleared his throat, nodding "Yeah, yeah, this way." He murmured, tilting his head in the direction of the coffee shop. "You hungry at all? Theyâve got some great stuff at Authentic. One of the girls there is Hispanic and her mother makes the best tamales Iâve ever eaten."
Aurelius held out his own hand, hesitantly shaking the others. "Aurelius Rose. It's nice to meet you, Lucien." He began to walk with him, nodding quickly. "Yeah, I'm a bit hungry." Suddenly thinking of something, he told Lucien, "Don't... don't call me Aure, okay? You can call me anything else."
"Then let me treat you." Lu waited patiently while the blonde packed his things up, they were like opposite ends of the spectrum but Lucien couldnât bare the singing. He quirked a brow at his odd request "Not Starbucks or specifically that one, because to be honest Starbucks isnât even an option."
"Good," Aurelius nodded softly. He couldn't even bare to think of the Starbucks, where just a few weeks ago, they'd been drinking coffee and laughing their cares away... He wiped his eyes quickly, saying, "Shall we go?"
Lucien just sort of looked the guy over, he resembled a badly beaten animal at the moment. "Iâm pretty sure Iâm the one who snapped at you first. Itâs no big deal." He mumbled. "How about you take a break? For my sake? Want to grab a coffee or something? My treat."
Aurelius glanced up, hesitantly looking over the man before admitting, "I could use a treat." He packed up his guitar into its case, picking it up by the handle. "Just... not the Starbucks near the park? Please?" he pleaded softly.
Lucien exhaled sharply through his nose, calming himself and smoothing out his cravat "Look, sorry, can I help you? I can lend you money, youâd have to pay it back though, of course. Uh, I could help you find a job if you really want one too? JustâŠ. not singing on the sidewalk."
"It's all I know how to do," Aurelius shrugged his shoulders. "I'm sorry if I snapped at you. I've just... a lot's happened lately." He shook his head, saying, "Singing's fine for me. I make enough. I mean, I get spit on every so often... but it's okay."
