Do you ever think about how when older men look at Jon they see a surrogate son who they want to help achieve (Stannis, Jeor, Mance,) while when older men look at Dany they see a sex object (Daario, Drogo, Jorah?) Because I do.

If you hear of a character being romance/sex repulsed and your first thought is to try to debunk or ignore it, fuck you.

If you hear of a character being aro/ace and your first thought is to say it's not canon because it wasn't explicitly stated in the media they're in (even if it was confirmed by the creator), fuck you.

If you hear of a character being romance/sex repulsed and your first thought is to say that character is boring/lonely/sad/evil because of that, fuck you.

It's almost comical how fandom is largely filled with people who claim to support aro/aces until their favorite character happens to be aro/ace. Then it's every excuse under the sun to ignore that or better yet, claim it's not canon.

A lot of you don't give that same treatment to gay characters, so you might wanna figure out why you're so okay with doing it to these ones.

It’s disturbing how people always want to bring up Dany’s dead male ancestors, but never her female ancestors. They want her to be the scapegoat for the actions of long dead men whom she’s never met, but ignore the enduring tradition of suffering and suppressed Targaryen women, that she is actively subverting…almost all Targaryen women after the conqueror’s wives (and we can argue all day about how much power or autonomy even they had, tbh) were passed over in some way or another in favor of a man, many losing their lives in the process, or enduring sexual violence, forced birth, unimaginable horrors, and in Rhaenyra’s case a bloody, terrible war. All for the crime of being born women. Daenerys is not the sacrificial lamb that all of her male ancestors’ sins are transubstantiated onto, that is such a tired, lazy, and misogynistic way to look at her story…she is the breaker of generational chains for her female ancestors. She is the star after the tower. The empress of the dawn. She is hope and healing, not destruction and rage. Dragons plant no trees, true, but Dany does.

Something that I found interesting and loved about show Helaena is that when she would share prophecies with her family she would mumble or whisper it so that they likely wouldn't hear what she was saying, on the rare occasion she didn't she would speak in obscure riddles that they would just disregard and then her son got brutally murdered and she starts very clearly stating prophecies and even uses her knowledge to set up the demise of the two men most responsible for her sons murder. Like she manipulates Daemon by tugging at his pride and sense of "nobility" to convince him to willingly walk into his own death and then she basically tells Aemond your gonna die you fucking loser

⚠️TRIGGER WARNING DISCUSSION OF SEXUAL ASSUALT⚠️

You know something that I really hate about House of the Dragon is that they made Aegon a rapist. Like I know he was one in the books(he was seen in a brothel with a little girl I think like 11 or 12 when he was an adult) but they cut that out of the show completely but then they added the whole Dyana scene and it's like out of all the creative liberties and changes the showrunners and writers make why did they keep that in and then went on to try to make Aegon a sympathetic character???? Genuinely what was the purpose of that? If you wanted to make Aegon more sympathetic and likeable to the audience why still make him a rapist. Ultimately it's not that crucial to the plot or integral to Aegon's character and they made more drastic changes so why wouldn't they change that aspect of the character?? Like they can still keep the fact that he had bastards and other faults but why that?
