I run a dragon reserve about an hour away from Diagon along with my two closest friends from school. I'm usually the main groundskeeper there but after our researcher left us, I was forced to handle both jobs at that point.
When you know someone's going to die
It may seem awful but some people couldn’t handle the sadness that hits them the day the person passes. It effects them differently and so they change either for the better or for the worse. It’s simply the matter of moving on faster and to not risk the chance of a change to your own being. It’s alright, ma’am.
Well then I guess it all depends on who's passed and how. If it were to be someone much older than you dying from natural causes, then I see no reason to change. But if it was someone very close to you, like a significant other per say, than I can see how it might affect someone. Then again, it's all really up to the person and his or her own way of dealing with death.

Huh. Well it seems like everyone is an auror nowadays, that or they're trying to keep themselves hidden as shopkeepers and whatnot. Though it's rather nice to meet someone with an unusual career such as yours
When you know someone's going to die
You get used to it faster and when it happens, you don’t feel so upset.
However true that may be, it's awfully depressing to think in such a way. You should really be happy to have had that person in your life rather than thinking up of ways to get over the sadness. I know I really shouldn't intrude, but I couldn't help but overhear you speaking.

It happens all the time actually. I was really kind of surprised since my family didn’t watch too much television as I was growing up. Sure my mom watched her soaps but I figured no one watched. Guess I was wrong. However it probably happens to me a bit less than it does to Quidditch players.
Either way, it sounds like a fantastic career. Did you know you wanted to be an actor when you were growing up? I have to say it isn't exactly the most common of careers.
