Starting to draw more characters now :)

This is Jun. Xiaoming's legal guardian. He's stressed to the max even though nothing's going on in their lives. Just the constant worry that comes with fatherhood ig. Wow that was some strong wind!

Zitan wood 紫檀 is an exceptionally dense, slow-growing tropical hardwood (genus Pterocarpus, primarily Pterocarpus santalinus) that is so heavy it sinks in water. Historically prized as the most valuable wood in the world, it has been used for centuries to carve intricate, fine furniture and sculptures.

Its slow growth results in a highly fine, tight grain, making it ideal for the intricate carving favored during the Chinese Ming and Qing dynasties. Because the trees take decades to mature, zitan was historically restricted to the imperial court and wealthy elites.

Redesign yay!

Finally remembered to give her a chin lol, made her eyebrows smaller and more triangular for uniqueness, and bigger eyes for expression.

I also added a lot of smaller changes:

slightly bigger pupil space (idrk what to call it in my style since i don't draw the actual pupil)

small bump in the center of her mouth (similar to amethys in steven universe but with an implied line)

got rid of slits at the end of the front of her hair to put more focus on the one in the ponytail

2 lines on every area of blush instead of 3 on the cheeks and 2 on the nose (old design for reference)

still not sure what to do with her clothes since the magic system is changing (also I feel they're pretty basic considering the inspiration). I was planning on having her change outfits depending on what beast's magic she channeled but from an animation/artist standpoint that'd just take up too much time I don't have and adds nothing.
