It’s go time

I’m having contractions about an hour/ hour and fifteen minutes apart. I’m only 34 weeks (exactly) so this is super scary because I have 6 weeks to go until I’m actually due. It seems like little man will be making his appearance early, but I’m going to wait until my water breaks and the contractions get closer until I actually do something! Watery, amber eyes glisten up at Rika as the younger girl pulls an electric thermometer out of Asuna’s mouth. The chestnut-haired girl can’t help but groan as the beeping device reads off its result. She opens her mouth to say something, but the scratchiness in her throat overcomes her and she ends up doubling over and coughing into her lap a few times.

Rika guides her fallen friend back up to a sitting position, and fluffs the pillows behind her. The short-haired brunette attempts to exit the room to retrieve something for an ailing Asuna, but the frail girl clearly didn’t hear or simply didn’t process Rika’s justification for leaving.

“N-no, don’t go, please…”

She grabs the sleeve of Rika’s sweater, and, rather violently, pulls the girl into a sitting position next to her on the bed.

“Stay here, please.”
