have you gotten away with using a magnet detector before? i want to buy one but i'm scared the staff of a shop will get notified if i walk in with one.
I've never been caught with a magnet. I'm not sure if they even exist in Australian stores
Could you give any tips about lifting at Mecca? I went into a Mecca Cosmetica today to check out their Too Faced stuff, and it seemed like everything but the samples were in drawers? Can I just take things from the drawers without drawing attention?
Just open the drawers and take out stuff without being seen preferably, you have to watch out for the physical people watching you. People take stuff out of the drawers all the time to buy them, and they also put stuff back, it's chill and expected. That being said, Mecca is hard as fuck to lift from because their store plan is difficult.
(Part 2) but if you just grab the makeup/skincare you want and go to lingerie or something it's pretty easy to get away. I just pretended to drop a bra I was looking at and then concealed while I was sitting down. Also mychemist is fairly easy and typo is great, the easiest to lift from imo. No cameras and concealing behind one of their tables is v simple. Also do you have any tips on lifting from mecca? I got there rlly early when there was one SA and just grabbed two things and left, but idk
Mecca is so much harder than what it use to be. Getting the small stuff (like K.I.T) is super easy, it's near the door and you can just walk out with it but makeup is harder since you need to open the drawer and find a place to conceal it because there's so many staff around. I always went around the time school ended because it was busy and concealed in the skincare section and legged it
(Part 1) Hey, I'm from Victoria and I lift! Also last weekend I went lifting and got out of the mall w around $200 worth of stuff, so did my lifting buddy. A really good place to lift for lingerie is cotton on body, basically nothing is tagged and the change rooms are unmonitored. Supre have barely any SAs where I went and I literally just grabbed three things then squatted down and put them in my bad and left, the SA didn't actually see me at all lmao. In target there are lots of cams in makeup
Lmao yeah I love cotton on body. I haven't paid for underwear or socks in yeeeeaaaaarrrrssssss
Hey, teenage girl from Melbourne here. I have never lifted before and would like to start. Any advice? Should I go alone? What shops are the easiest, and what products are the easiest? I really want a mentor to teach me how to lift like a pro.
I just wanna say be careful, because things can bite you in the ass. One of my friends got posted all over facebook by a company because she stole something and yeah, despite no charges actually being placed it was really embarrassing. Just make sure you won't be seen. If you can see cameras, they can see you. If you can see people, just assume they have eyes in the back of their head and they will tell on you. Printed on Barcodes don't set off towers, but any raised ones (like stickers) will. Don't leave boxes anywhere, be friendly, preferably go alone unless you're with someone who knows what they're doing, and know your legal rights. Alternatively make a blog and message me if you want, good luck dearest
Hey fellow VIC lifter! I have a pretty basic but good tip to share for lifting T-shirts or any other clothing just folded on tables. When you've rifled through the pile to find your size, scoop up 2 identical shirts from the folded pile at the same time so it looks like you only picked up one to the cameras. Then fold them together quickly and take to the change room. Conceal 1 and put the other back. I've had SA in Target count my 2 shirts as 1 when they checked my items for the changeroom!

-have you been to the mecca in either highpoint or melbourne central? what are the SA's like? every time i've been to mecca there's always girls at the front. where are the blind spots? are the naked palettes in lockable cases, because that's my worry. i also have my old nars foundation, which i could use for "comparison" and pretend im putting that back when really im putting them both in my purse lol. anyway, thanks!
Only Melbourne central, never been to highpoint. There's less blindspots there now, which sucks but the skincare area is always kinda empty so slight of hand is good ((learn some magic tricks!!) It's easy grabbing the products and I find that the staff seem to be pretty inattentive especially when it's crazy busy because there's customers left right and centre. Also try at like 3.30-4pm because schoolgirls just go crazy. Your time to shine. Things aren't locked but some have rfid tags inside the boxes (like some eyeshadow palettes) so just have a look INSIDE before you walk out. They're normally in the rear-side corners when stuck down and blend in bc they're both white. Good luck friendo
Can you ask your followers to like this if they're from Sydney? X
like this pls
how do you lift at mecca?? i always unbox whatever i'm getting and leave the box somewhere. do i even need to unbox? i just do it coz i'm worried the towers r gonna go off but since you lift there i'd thought i'd ask. thank uuu!!
I never unboxed, just slipped in my bag and left

[QLD anon] Target recently had some make up sales and I straight up just took 3 cover girl foundations and a bunch of NYX gel eyeliner. If a SA went, "that is a lot you have there", I was going to say, "yeah I wanna buy it all because it is on sale". Luckily, I didn't have to do that. Mm, another tip I have is to keep some make up bags in your bag. Empty except for a nail clipper/nail scissors. I use a nail clipper to cut tags and I fill up the make up bags with loot.
We are the same person omg I stole a nail kit from The Body Shop for that exact purpose!!!! You're my lifting twin hahaha
[cont] especially with make up and clothing. 4. I avoid Kmarts because the Kmarts here usually count the clothing - I had an SA take my clothes apart and counted them in front of me. 5. Myer does not always have changing rooms monitored BUT most, if not all, clothes require a magnet 6. The targets I've encountered did not have self check outs or a pet section. 7. I usually collect a lot of things and drop them around in case I am accused of lifting. Anyway, happy lifting!
I avoid Kmart because their ear pieces freak me out! And they just seem really like, idk, frightening haha. I usually just boost shit to actually buy things from Kmart! Target is kind of hard since there's zero places notorious for not having cameras, and it's a bit hard to just do a walk out with things since they wanna check literally everyone. I do love they have The Balm and Sleek there though!
Hey lifter here in QLD who isn't public about it. I just started lifting two weeks ago and since then saved over $500. Here are my tips: 1. Lifting from Best & Less is generally easy because most of them do not have towers but they do check. I usually just wear the clothes underneath when I go to the changing room 2. Do not lift from any pharmacies or dollar stores - they prosecute almost always and aren't worth it in the long run. 3. Big W is one of my favourite places to lift from especially
Thank you! Yeah, I don't lift from dollar stores - moreso for the fact they're owned by a lot of people who aren't financially stable, and the fact they almost always have cameras everywhere. They're too small to not notice things missing! I love best and less and big w sooooo much
I just stole something from Mecca but then I payed for something else and they asked me if I have an account and I panicked omg what's gonna happen??!
Did you give them your account details or pay by card? If you pay by credit/debit card they can prosecute and make you give back the goods/fine you. I guess the same would go if you gave them your member name
Capital person here. btw
why no one from Victoria :[
