He was born in New York City in 1947 and grew up in Harlem, where drugs, poverty, and crime were prevalent. Although overwhelmed and nearly destroyed by the adverse effects these elements had upon his life, Dr. Dickerson managed to survive the turmoil of street city life. The author received his Doctorate in Clinical Social Work from New York University in 1994. He is in private practice, specializing in chemistry dependency.

A human being is made up of millions of cells. The human cell is the smallest structural unit of all living matter. The part of the cell we are going to be concerned with regarding our discussion on DNA will be the nucleus. It is the nucleus of the cell that contains the chromosomes. There are no verses in the Holy Bible of God actually explaining to Moses (who was inspired by God to write Genesis) that life forms consisted of living cells, that life after its own kind was based on the genetic structure of chromosomes located in the nucleus of the cell. Every biology student learns that living things consist of millions of microscopic cells, each cell a living entity. Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA), which is found in the nucleus of every cell, is the substance upon which all life is based. It is this substance that accounts for cattle producing cattle, and female humans giving birth to other humans. Judging from the Biblical account of creation, all the elements of life can be found in the soil.
