Mad for 'Modern Family'

Not so long ago I started watching 'Modern Family', which for those of you who are unaware is an American TV show based around a family which could be perceived as family of today. Whats so Modern about this family? Well there is a Gay couple couple, and Dad/ Grandfather with a younger Columbian wife. So this family is 'Modern' compared to your average. 

Anyway what is was going to say was...

From the moment I started watching the series till now, I've been drawn in and have become very and weirdly obsessive with the show. This seems to happen with me a lot with some television shows. The last time it occurred was 'Scrubs', what I do when I get obsessed is I seem to get involved with the show, its characters and the actors themselves. I research the actors, find their twitters, instagram pages and anything else I can find. I treat the characters that they portray on TV as real life people. Now, you may say this is a problem but I think, and hope, it is more common than I first anticipated.

I love the idea that the family and the characters that I see on TV are real and that the love they show and the affection I see in their eyes is actually pure and real. Not only love but the humour that they have, I hope that its their own! I think its only natural that when you watch a set of characters for an extended amount of time you grow a fondness for them, and also have them influence you as a person. I sometimes seem to act and do things like  I was one of the characters. I just hope that all I have said is good and not just a load rubbish and madness. 

Am I going mad? Or am I just mad for 'Modern Family'?

I hope the latter.

The Beginning.

The Beginning. The Start. The origin of what will follow. I believe that beginnings are important and you should hold on to them, because in all truth the start is the foundation to why the thing happens in the first place. It’s also the thing that reminds you why you still stand in the first place. Like a house has foundations so does everything else in life. Love, Friendships are both things that have foundations that start them off and also keep them standing. Things may not go to plan in the development of a relationship, you may secretly use one yellow brick instead of red. Although to most the yellow brick is only a minor problem, to the people who are building and living in the house it is a complication. Admittedly I am not a builder or and architect, I am just a living human who is trying to build relationships. So in a sense, I am constantly building. Again about the yellow brick, it may later just become something of no importance but for the moment that it is there it is an issue. I’m a big believer of forgiveness, so that yellow brick in my mind can be overcome by the building of a beautiful house. For years to come the house will be lived in and will be appreciated but there will always be problems; a hole in the roof, no hot water and no heating, but the “couple” that live in the house will defeat all issues. That is what I hope to do. I believe that beginnings are important and you should hold on to them. It’s The origin of what will follow. I’m not great at giving first impressions so… Hello.  I'll leave things simple in our relationship, for now.
