He has a bit of an issue telling when certain statements are appropriate (ie. putting a rope around his neck right after Chitose tried to kill himself). This could be related to issues understanding social cues. He also tends to make light of situations that generally shouldnāt be taken as a joke, outright calling his stories about almost dying as a kid just a joke, the punchline being that humanity is always on the verge of death.
He doesnāt have a lot of interest in establishing friendships, specifically stating in Chitoseās second idol story that he thinks relationships that start with work end with work, and he doesnāt have any interest in pursuing more outside of that. Compartmentalization and stuff is fairly common in autistic people, and myself and many I know who are autistic tend to divide people into where and how they should interact with them.
He has definitely put effort into determining how to interact with people at different times and what ways will put them most at ease with him, another fairly common thing I see with autistic people. For him in particular, he is managing to convince Izumi into being āfriendsā with him so that he can get clout from the relationship. He also has studied Nozomiās actions and can tell when heās in a bad mood and is highly likely to refuse a job. In a homescreen voiceline, he also admits to acting as a mediator between Rhythm Link management and Mellow Dear Us. I know itās more common for autistic people to have struggles in social environments, but there is also a trait of studying socializing in order to cause the least tension.
He also has a fairly big habit of masking himself to keep the people around him happy. While with Nozomi, he remained relatively cheerful, trying to remain on his good side. Mentally, though, in his second idol story, he was complaining about how much he hates that Nozomiās word is taken as law, and that he doesnāt like trying to deal with him. Additionally, in Chitoseās second idol story, he says Nozomi has a, āsmug ass condescending look,ā and then remarks that he always speaks his mind too much around Chitose.
Finally he is very focused on his goals, often with a disregard for the people around him and even himself unless it affects his progress. For example, he says in the secret original scenario that it is exhausting dealing with Chitose being so down all the time, but also acknowledges that Chitose is important as a member of Mellow Dear Us and for Mashuās career as an idol. Similarly with Nozomi, he hates trying to accommodate his mood swings, but knows itās important for their career, and will go out of his way to try and make Nozomi feel better to ensure they get a specific job. For himself, he states that he trained himself not to cry because a performer should not cry, and being upset would get in the way of his goal to make everyone smile. He has a very autism-typical stubbornness, and it has been shown multiple times throughout the few stories we have of him.
Altogether, I think he is an extremely autistic coded character, but with higher social skill levels than is often expected of autistic people.
Also might I add thereās a bit of a plot point for Ryuseitai about how Tetora doesnāt have a special interest like the rest of them
