What's your favorite girls + guns anime, and why is it Gunsmith Cats? (also, mind making a list of other recommended gun girl animu?)

It’s actually Black Lagoon because Revy and Balalaika make my heart go wild.I don’t have a list, but off the top of my head, Black Lagoon, Jormungand, Gunslinger Girl (more feels than shooting but still good), Upotte!! (if you ignore the fanservice), and the woefully underrated C3-bu: The Line are all series I’ve watched and enjoyed.

Kite did a lot of the things that Gunslinger Girl tried, and I’d be tempted to recommend it with the caveat that you avoid the hentai version like the plague and watch it with the English dub.

The Dirty Pair is also excellent.

Well, Project Eden is. Dunno about the rest, haven’t seen it. Certainly I’ve heard good things though. Kei and Yuri are the original anime girls with guns.

If nothing else, it has a great opening animated by Koji Morimoto.

There’s Mezzo Forte too.  But like what was mentioned above, it’s by the same guy who did Kite.  So it follows the same formula of jailbait, guns, and hentai (so you know, try a version without the fucking).  I don’t think it has as many fight scenes as Kite, but I remember one particular fight in a bowling alley really standing out.
