I experiment a lot.. Usually, I begin with simple 'cell shading' （二分）notan to add a light source. Then, I randomly render. I spam colour curves to add hue range + alter saturation on layer masks, and use gradient maps to convert black and white values to colour. Screen layer modes are helpful to create a sense of depth by adding 'air'.

It's helpful to understand colour relativity and hue, saturation and value contrasts. I just.. scrolled on xiaohongshu... to learn....
