Giving Meaning to Two Simple Colors: The Gulf Racing Porsche 917
Not much needs to be said, the pictures speak for themselves. This in my opinion is one of the most beautiful pieces of engineering in motorsports history. It seems so counter intuitive that something built strictly for function, for winning races, could carry itself so elegantly. The swooping lines, the presence, the sound. It looks to be more of an artistic endeavor than an engineering feat.
