She had bewn through hell to get to that cursed place, only to have her efforts tarnished at the last possible moment! It was a sharp blow to her pride, a blow that could cripple a weaker soul. Not her, however, no sir. She would keep on fighting as long as her body would let her.
Physically, she lookes broken beyond repair. Sweater ripped in various spots, soiled with dirt and reddish brown stains that could only be her blood, not from the wounds but her own personal drawback. As a result of her chlorokinetic abilities, it was a give and take. A double edged sword. Two parts of the same power that could not be separated, but how she loathed the dehydration.
“Y’ know why I’m here, kid. Ain’t it obvious in a place like this? All I wanted was some… information. Nobody’d spill, so I’d just… poke m’ nose around a bit… until I got what I wanted t’ know.”
She even had her notes scribbled in her journal, one that was carelessly tossed onto the commander’s desk by one of her captors. It had contained notes on the dissapearance of animals from their habitat, including but not limited to elk, snakes, boars, chickens plucked from their caretaker’s coop, and a variety of other critters.
“An’ now that I’m here… I want some answers.”
immediately, bewilderment and anger flashes in his eyes, and he leans forward on the table, a wicked grin spreading across his youthful complexion, masking his irritation. he tilts his head slightly.
“ i don’t quite think using that language with me will get you anywhere good, girl. ” the world girl is dripping with animosity and the threat hangs heavy in the air, suffocating and angry. “ do you even know who i am? ” he’s just intimidating to be intimidating. in all honesty, he’s just bored, nothing much really happening and fucking with some random guy for fun is a testament to this. if he wasn’t so bored, he’d just order the pigmasks to shoot her and be done with it, but now he’s feeling, again, like a cat with it’s pray, and cats always bat their catch around a little bit.

Jeff hoped that made them at least sort of even, he knew what his father could be like. Absent-minded, forgetful, easily carried away with a new project in mind…. He just hoped that this operation didn’t seriously injure his new.. friend?
He nods solemnly, eyes closed behind his glasses. He doesn’t notice the Ginger’s ease, but he feels equally as grateful to have changed the sibject. It’s an awkward subject, but he felt obligated to share his similar experiences. But he was looking forward to some bitter coffee and a conversation with his new acquaintance. He raises an eyebrow, his hands in his jacket pockets.

“ ah. sshhh.... mmmnn. ” the really weird noise that escapes him is both out of tension being released ( he knew this was coming, after all ) and out of... legitimately not knowing how to respond. he doesn’t know his name, after all, he doesn’t have one. it doesn’t particularly bother him, but it is kind of inconvenient with people who don’t just call him ‘commander’ all the time.
frantically, his mind races. he kind of hates the pitying look in jeff’s eyes, like he’s something to be given a sad smile, like he’s a dog that’s just been kicked, so he doesn’t really want to add to that. uhhhhhhhhhhh---
