I do not normally go out of my way for captions, but there are some things I’d like to say here if you will read it.

I hope it’s clear this isn’t ship art. I’m not a Marvel fan, I don’t know anything about the comics, but I found the show to portray manipulation and the cycle of abuse excellently.

I don’t know anything about Jake Lockley aside from the glimpses the show gave me, and considering the purpose I imagine he serves in the broader system, Khonshu’s invasive exploitation of his protective instincts, sitting in the back of a limousine while Jake drives it as if Jake were a servant, is infuriating and fascinating.

The god is like a parasite, with dominion over body and mind (and the shows deliberate choice to end with Frank Sinatra’s “My Way of Life”)… I thought it was very well done, and I wanted to draw something for it.

Again, I don’t really know much about the comics, so this comes solely from my experience watching the show. Thanks

i feel like he was never big on partying but he did once attend a party to have a drink and got shitfaced off two beers.. he woke up in a bush. he also hates being hungover, the headache is awful, he doesn’t like puking andddd i think he wouldn’t like feeling out of control of his own body.

for college i think he would make an attempt at law then eventually just end up enlisting so he could afford school but was deployed before he could even get a chance to learn anything. plus then he used the law stuff to get away with crime.

he wishes he could’ve broadened his knowledge on other topics like maybe engineering or advanced physics but instead he just became a avatar womp womppp.

Jake would probably try to do criminology and anatomy major and then he would end up in the randomized classes for credit to his degree. he would love the classmates in his childhood development program, given i see him as a community college guy he would befriend a lot of people. i also see him doing great acts of kindness around campus, sort of a silent kind figure people can rely on.

side note i think it would be very cute if for extra credit jake did a on campus children’s daycare that’s at most community colleges, just to help out with other students trying to get their degree. idk 🤷‍♀️
