Physically, I am here. Emotionally, I am living in a quaint cabin in the woods that smells like pumpkin bread and cinnamon and there are books everywhere and the record player is crooning softly and I spend my days reading and writing and devoting myself to my craft, blissfully happy because I live in a world of constant autumn.

I know it's only July, but I'm really craving fall. I'm craving crunchy, warm baguettes, and cinnamon scented houses, and smoke in chimneys in the mornings. 💨

I'm imagining orange and brown trees against an even more vibrantly orange sunset. 🍂 And wind that makes you cold, and patches of sunlight that make you hot.

The bright evenings of summer storms are coming to a close, and the evening becomes more dim and quiet. The insects are going underground, and you can notice more and more local birds disappearing in favour of a warmer place. All as the world shifts.

The changing of seasons is such a precious transformation. All of our sabbats as pagans, witches, and so on, are based on these events, and the shift in energy they create. Each brings in a new season in life, but... theres something especially magickal to me about a hot, a goal oriented, an energetic season tucking into a season of lesser harshness. It's like the world tastes among itself the best of its fruits; from mushrooms, to fog, to orange and red trees - as it says goodbye before its winter rest. 🌻🍂

If it was autumn i would simply open all the windows in my house and light a cinnamon candle in every room and snuggle up with a cup of hot chai on the couch with my cat and a thick blanket
