“I heard my Mari needed a pick me up. The group chat was a wreck. Tonight you, me, and my Nora girl are going to get several types of messed up so you don’t have to think anymore.” Autumn was working on a new mix when everything went to shit. He couldn’t comment on anything without seeming like something more than one of her good friends. Right after it calmed down he texted both Mari and Nora to come over for drinks, weed, and food. A chill night in so they wouldn’t have to run into anyone that might give off bad vibes. Autumn waved his hand at all the bottles of liquor laid out on his counter “Pick anything. Nora should be here any moment now.”

Marianna sits cross legged on Autumn’s living room floor, still thrown at the fact that neither of them have taken the first step into making whatever attraction they have for each other manifest into something physical. It’s the draw of the tease and she’s here for it, especially with the way the man seems to have this pull on her that she can’t seem to shake. 

That doesn’t mean she doesn’t try to up the ante. Teasing is only fun if she gets to play a part of it. Skirt hiking up, she leans back against her palms, throwing him a smirk. 

“So. What are our plans for tonight?”

He raised a brow. What is she up to? It was more than a game to him. Anytime they hung out, his heart called out to her in a way he didn’t expect. It’s easy to push the feelings aside when he focused on his music. Autumn was steady fiddling with his guitar. He caught the movement of her skirt out the corner of his eye but chose not to acknowledge it. Instead he smiled lovingly at his guitar.

“If it doesn’t include you finally admitting that you want me I don’t think we have any plans.” He joked. “However I may have ordered your favorite takeout. Should be here in fifteen minutes.”

“Ally talk to me. Your hands are shaking. I hoped that tonight could get your mind off of whatever is hurting you.” Tonight she joined him at work. Autumn let the track play while he attended to his sister. Maybe this was the wrong place for her tonight. “Hey...you can talk to me.” They were sitting close together to talk over the pounding music. He was still on the clock but his sister came first. Always.
