“It’s a pleasure to meet you Hayato~ Haru has a friend back at home with your name~” Haru wasn’t sure if he was just playing along, or whether or not he also had a habit of speaking in third person like she did, but she found it amusing all the same. With a chime-like giggle, she led him to his seat, choosing the open table near the window, because he said he’d be good with it.
This particular seat offered a wonderful view of the outside, and so she liked to recommend the seat. The view was particularly nice when the sun was starting to set because you could see so much of the sky changing colors. Right outside of the window was a bed of beautiful flowers, so if the sky wasn’t your thing—the flowers would be lovely to look at. Some fake fairies were placed in between the flora, to really sell the point of the café.
“This seat is one of Haru’s favorites! You can even see some of Haru’s friends hiding in the flower forest.” She motioned to the small garden of flowers outside the window. It was something Haru suggested to give kids to look at while they waited for their orders to arrive.
“Mmm~? There are some shortcakes to enjoy with tea, but if you are looking for something more filling, Haru can suggest the finger sandwiches? Our cooks reduced the amount of magic fairy dust in the recipes, so you won’t fly off to Neverland, so no worries-desu~” She’s gotta keep up the façade of the magical fairy-like café, you know? Pulling out a menu, she handed it over to him to look over. There were a lot of things on the menu, all fairy themed. There were all sorts of sandwiches, desserts, crepes, and specialized drinks as well.
Hayato wasn’t too surprised hearing about another person with the same name as him out there. It was a pretty common name after all. “I’ve got a friend called Haru too! Well, technically it’s Haruna, but I call him Haru sometimes.” He beamed, remembering his old bandmates and friends that was probably still in Japan and makes a mental note to check up on his buddy soon.
Following the his waitress to where he’ll be seated and Hayato took note of the little trinkets around the cafe as the waitress pointed them out. It really was decorated as though they had been transported to the fairy world and Haru’s acting made it more realistic. Maybe… She really was a fairy? That couldn’t be right and even a seventeen year old like him knew that.
He was quickly brought to his seat and took a look outside as Haru suggested. Wow, there really were little fairies outside. How realistic~
The menu as his waitress described, sounded delicious and good thing there wasn’t going to be. It was so hard to choose! “Ummm~ Hmm~” He hummed before starting to feel as though he was taking up too much of the waitress’ time. “Then I’ll have one of everything you suggested.” Would he be able to finish everything? Looked like he was about to find out.
