Imagine living without getting to listen to music together.” She shook at the idea, she was great to listen to music with, at least in her opinion. “It’s not bad to see you either.” Autumn complimented, her voice a little softer. It wasn’t easy for her to dish out compliments, but she knew when people deserved it and Benji did. “I know I’m shorter but I’d throw on some heals and kick the persons ass that tried to close this place.” Autumn put a serious look on her face before she broke into a chuckle. “It just sucks that we need to get punished for enjoying music. Maybe a new record player would help but I’m so attached to the one I have now.”

“Wait, wait… Who are you to rovoke the jam sessions? I think that I woud have the power to do something like that.” He mentioned to her while laughing softly. “You honestly don’t have to worry about this place closing. I don’t think that is something that’s going to happen for a very, very long time.” He said honestly to her. And Ben made sure of that. “It’ s hard to give up the record player that you’ve been using. You strt to feel connected to it the way you do a person, or atleast that is my experience with it.” They explained before taking another hit off of his pen and offering it to the other. “Want a hit?”

"I'm totally a part of the equation that makes it awesome. It wouldn't be the same jamming on your own." His laugh even made a small smile turn at the corner of her lips. She was queen of the resting bitch face or smirks, so it took quite a few steps for her to show her smile. "Better not, but don't worry I'll be ready to fight for it." She sighed and nodded and tapped on the counter. "You just get me Benji, most people would say to just try a new one. They don't get it." Her eyes lit up though at his offer, "Please, thank you. I sure as hell need it, it has been an interesting few days." She took a hit and just enjoyed it for a moment before handing the pen back to him.

Music had always been a large part of Autumn’s life, it was a part of her life every second of everyday. So it wasn’t surprising that her favorite store was a vinyl shop. She would jump from store to store to see what met her expectations and finally she found her favorite a few years ago. And it happened to help her meet Benjamin too. “Wow you aren’t happy to see me? No warm welcome for your favorite customer?” She started, “I was going to say, I only break them because it gives me an excuse to see you, but now I don’t know.” Autumn teased, as she made her way up to the counter and leaned on it. “But for real I can’t help how much I listen to it, it helps me wind down after long days.”

“You know i’m always happy to see ya, you dork.” He laughed as he looked at her and he chuckled softly. “Obviously I am happy to see you. Sometimes you’re the only reason the shop can stay in business.” They joked with her some more and smiled wide. “Listen, if anyone gets it, it’s me. I listen to them all day and then there’s always one going at home so you don’t have to worry about defending yourself there.” They explained. “I always make sure to keep extras around for you because of how much you listen to them and then they end up breaking. But hey, at least you’re getting good use out of them and not letting them just collect dust!”

Benjamin loved that they were able to open their own vinyl store. It was something that he had always dreamed of doing but of course that’s why their parents had disapproved of it. He decided to take the money he had and some money from his parents and he disappeared into New York. He’s been here for five years now and there was no way that he was looking back. He opened his own shop about three years ago and the business was booking more than they could have ever expected. As they were working the front counter today to give the worker some time off, they were reading a magazine to see what was going on in the real world today. He took a hit off of his vape and he blew the smoke out. As the bell above the door rang, they took their feet off of the counter and smiled wide at the familiar face, “Jesus lord, did you destroy your second copy of rumors? You’re lucky I keep extra here.” They teased her.

While most kids dream of their parents not being around, being able to do what they want and make the rules. Except this was Autumn Holliday’s reality, she was the product of another one of her mothers one night stands on her holiday. Early on she learned the only consistent thing in her life were her siblings and music. But if there was one thing she took from her mother it was learning how think of yourself and doing what makes you happy. Autumn took that idea and went running. If her mother could put herself first, so could she.

One of the many things that made her happy was music, at first she just loved listening to it then she wanted to learn it. She wanted to know everything that went into making a song what it was. Autumn took on learning the piano and guitar, even taking a try at songwriting. It became her whole focus, she was determined for this to become her career. Something that she could spend her whole life doing.

And when she turned 18 she finally felt like she got the chance to make that a reality when she left her home in Sydney, Australia. It was hard for her to turn down a chance to be in New York City. Of course she knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was ready to do what it would take. Once she left her hometown she didn't look back, she hasn't even heard from her mother. Of course she still missed it from time to time, her life, her siblings but she deserved more.

It has been hard work but the band is making movement and getting attention. But not well enough where this could be Autumns full focus. So on the side to bring in more money she works at Sapphire as a dancer. A perfect job for a person who claimed to be detached and independent. Her quick wit and attitude made her well known at the club. The money is an amazing bonus but she knows this isn't what she plans to do forever. It was a way to pay the bills until her dream could become her reality.
