Matt was still MIA Eros was in his lounge at his house.

Finally, her phone buzzed and she received a text message. She held her breath and read over the words carefully. She smiled happily when she finished reading and kissed her phone. “Yes!” She cheered.

Katherine appeared in Eros’ lounge and smirked at him. “Well hey there gorgeous.”

??? **** Eros jumped about a foot in the air. “W-what are you doin here? How do you know where my apartment is??”

Katherine chuckled and eyed him up and down. “I think you forget who I am, darling.” She practically purred. “You aren’t very hard to find.”

He reeled back. “But what are you doing here?”

“What? I can’t come visit Cupid without a specific reason?” She sauntered over to him and traced her finger down his chest. “I missed you.”

A nasty new habit she picked up over the course of a few months. “Sorry I couldn’t be much help. I um, I have something I need to do so I’m going to have to ask you to leave. It was nice seeing you again, Pan.” She mumbled and stood up slowly, not making eye contact. Something was off.

Pandora’s bullshit sensors went off right then and so she played it cool and said “Oh, what is it you plan to do? Maybe I can help?”

Ava froze suddenly, but then composed herself. “Just some personal stuff, that’s all.” She smiled and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. “But thanks anyways.” She played with a ring on her finger to distract her from the looming thought in her head.

Pandora Sighed and said. “I know you’re lying to me, Ava.” Eyes seeming to flicker once again.

“I’m not.” Ava frowned. In a way, she was telling the truth. It was something personal. But it needed to be done. She was tired, and now that Matt was dead.. There was no point.

“You do realize that he may not be dead, right?” Shaking Her head she continued. “Killing yourself isn’t the answer. It never is.”

“Who says?? Huh? Whether Matt is dead or alive, he’s not in my life. I’m not happy, Pan. And taking my life is just an option.” She said a little calmer. A tear ran down her cheek and she sighed shakily.

Pandora snorted. “Sorry.” She remarked, still grinning. “That’s petty. You should be able to move on from a cheating sleazy Angel who half assed your relationship.” She seemed to consider. “Kill yourself, don’t, I don’t care. But remember that you would be going to hell so if that changes your perspective at all.” She shrugged.

Just go away!” Ava yelled and wiped her tears away. “I don’t want you hear.” She said harshly and grabbed her bag, walking down the hall to her bedroom.

Ava got changed into some comfy clothes and cried on her bed. She cried and buried her face into her pillow. It had been a couple days since she last cried, and it felt a bit bittersweet.

Pandora and Eros had a hushed conversation about what they could do. Eros decided that he would make sure she didn’t kill herself and that Pandora would look for Matt.

Ava slowly walked into her bathroom. She opened her cabinet and found a bottle of pills. She bit her lip and slowly opened up the cap.

“Death becomes you, Ava.” Eros said, having a more dark look to him then she’d seen him last.

Ava jumped and the pills scattered all over the bathroom floor. “Eros.. Um, w-what’re you doing here?” She stuttered, a bit surprised by his presence.

Eros whirled his finger around, his magic picking up all the pills scattered on the floor, putting them in the bottle and flying over to his hand. “Stopping you from killing yourself.” He said simply as he shrugged.

“Why do you care? No offense, but we don’t really know each other that well.” She spoke softly and played with the hem of her shirt.

Eros thought for a moment and said “1. Because Pandora asked me to, and 2. Because it’s my fault you and Matt were ever together.” The darkness under his eyes somehow became more prominent and Ava could tell that Eros was TIRED, like haven’t-slept-for-days-and-has-been-living-on-half-assed- instant-coffee kind of tired.

Ava scoffed and felt the stinging return to her eyes. “Your fault? It’s no one’s fault but mine! I fell in love with him… And I still love him. I— I just don’t want to feel the pain anymore. It’s tearing me apart, Eros.” She took a step towards him and took his hand in hers. “Listen to my heart. What does it tell you?” She asked as she moved his hand so it was placed over her beating heart.

“It tells me that there’s a reason it’s still beating.” He closed his eyes so he could feel it better and sighed. “You will move on and Matt will just be a small chapter of your life. If you were really meant to die now, you would be.” He opened how eyes and took his hand off her chest.

“I don’t want him to be a small chapter in my life!” She exclaimed and pushed herself past him and into her bedroom. She sat down and pulled her knees to her chest. “Why did he leave..? Was I not good enough?” Ava mumbled.

He leaned against the doorway and said “Not all of us get happy endings, you know. And I hate to remind you that he died. He d i e d, I doubt he wanted to leave you but he had to because he didn’t want you to find his body.”

But remember that you would be going to hell so if that changes your perspective at all.” She shrugged.

Ava got changed into some comfy clothes and cried on her bed. She cried and buried her face into her pillow. It had been a couple days since she last cried, and it felt a bit bittersweet.

It was nice seeing you again, Pan.” She mumbled and stood up slowly, not making eye contact. Something was off.

Ava froze suddenly, but then composed herself. “Just some personal stuff, that’s all.” She smiled and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. “But thanks anyways.” She played with a ring on her finger to distract her from the looming thought in her head.
