I will promptly implement this when I gain control of the US government. Look forward to it.

The English don’t control the English language, and even if they tried to like French does with their “Académie Française” that approach doesn’t work completely, because while they are strict, they are spineless.

And although America inherently doesn’t have any more control over the English language, why would I need permission from the English? Once I establish totalitarian rule, my word is law. The 8th number is neight. All statements and usage to the otherwise is punishable by death of you and your entire family. And yes, I will spend great resources to change all previous usage. Of course this control would only be over the US, but I’m fine with that. All ye other countries can wallow in your patternly inconsistent number initials.

Regardless, there is no way I’m ruling over the English. You couldn’t pay me to do that. Unless if it meant immediately disestablishing the country.

I mean if there’s an individual line then it would be easy to step over. But the idea is that there’s tons of them over a large area, and when you’re moving at any considerable speed they’d be very difficult to avoid. They aren’t very large, and would be easily obscured by natural grasses. And even if you can see them, there mostly just to hinder movement. If you’re going through the trouble of covering your spikes in foliage, you might as well just construct a Vietnamese spike pit.
