can i just go over something kind of controversial with gr.eed for a sec? for example, we all know that one of the many things he wants to have are women (personally for my gr.eed, two women to be at each side of him at all times, but he wouldn’t mind more). but i want you guys to really know and get it in your head that my gr.eed will not be objectifying women at all. he won’t be intentionally trying to treat them as decorations or in a rare sense, something to make him look even more masculine / domineering. 

my gr.eed knows to treat women with as much respect as someone like him can, which is surprisingly just as much as anyone else can. he sees that women are beautiful, yes, but he also sees that they can be independent and as much as he hates to see them go, he has an easier time letting go of women more than anything else. because he doesn’t want to be possessive of that one woman / those women and cause them any discomfort because that’s simply not in his nature. 

depending on how straightforward a woman is, he’ll understand why a woman would want to stay or go, and he respects that she has that right. does that make it any less painful if she were to decide to leave for any or no reason? no. it still hurts, but there’s not much he can do to change her mind. he could try to sway her one way or another with his persuasive talk, but that’s about it. he doesn’t want to talk her into staying to the point where she’s uncomfortable, so he keeps his pleading to a minimum. not in the slightest does he try to manipulate the woman nor does he hold anything against her for leaving.

but basically,  our president has finally taken it too far and has now decided that he would like to  “ redefine “  what gender means.   what he’s doing is he is trying to make it so that gender in america will now be equated to biological sex rather than gender identity.   so every single trans person that has had their gender marker changed in this country  …  if this goes through,  that grueling process,  all the fees we paid for it,  everything  …  will be for  NOTHING.   if a transgender woman commits some sort of crime and has to be sent to prison  …  she will be sent to a men’s prison and will be treated like a man.   if a trans person is badly hurt and requires medical attention,  A FUCKING GENETIC TEST WILL BE DONE ON THEM and they will receive care BASED ON THE SEX SAID TEST REVEALS THEY ARE.

i cannot put into words how terrified i am.   i cannot put into words how disgusted i am with this country and with our so-called  “ leader “.   but   WE   NEED   YOUR   HELP.

i am literally  begging  …  anyone that is eligible to vote in america  …  PLEASE,  vote !!   we need to get this disgusting man out of office because if this goes through,  he is not going to stop with just trans people.   he’ll start attacking other minorities,  people of color,  immigrants,  other members of the LGBTQ+ community,  HE THINKS HE CAN JUST ATTACK WHOEVER HE WANTS BECAUSE HE’S PRESIDENT BUT WE HAVE TO TEACH HIM THAT’S NOT HOW IT FUCKING WORKS.   WE NEED TO TEACH THIS ASSHOLE THAT HE CAN’T FUCK WITH US BECAUSE WE’VE TAKEN TOO MUCH OF IT ALREADY.   WE NEED TO TAKE A STAND WE NEED TO USE OUR VOICES NOW MORE THAN EVER.

just a general headcanon, but i think it’s canon that the ho.munculi don’t have to eat, sleep, or even breathe. going on with this, i imagine that while they don’t have to, they can, and maybe eventually will, depending on who they are. and also depending on who they are, they’ll pick and choose when to eat, sleep, or breathe. take for example, gl.uttony, who literally eats people to the extent where he won’t leave a trace of them after he’s done. of course it’s a part of his personality and his person to eat anything he wants with little expense to him. 

it’s like how it was explained by gr.eed very briefly. their bodies are still “human,” meaning they can do everything humans can do, including eating, sleeping, breathing, bleeding, dying, etc. they just have powers that are unique to them and that sets them above humans, which actually gives them big egos. but that doesn’t happen with gr.eed. 

gr.eed holds no actual malice towards the human race as a whole, nor one human in particular. he doesn’t care for that, and that’s what sets him apart from the other ho.munculi. he doesn’t have as big of an ego as his siblings, and mostly sets himself down to the level of humans (except for when in combat). this is because he wants to gain a legion of people who are willing to fight for him and with him, he wants plots of land, he wants money and women. he wants everything, and he uses whatever tools are at his disposal to acquire these things.

i really need to finish my pages, but the thing is i’m not happy with my own canon just yet and need think about it and go over it a few times. because world building isn’t quite my specialty, i might have to get some opinions on parts of my canon / my whole canon. i’ve got some in depth headcanon asks in my drafts because i’m finicky and can’t settle on ideas. plus my muse has been coming and going, so my motivation is sparse.

    Ikkaku kept his gaze focused on Greed. Something didn’t feel right; inhuman and yet it wasn’t a hollow. This guys energy was all over the place. Frankly, he disliked it but he did enjoy the excitement that came with very new experience.

how does greed feel about their siblings? the loss of them? do they mourn/are they capable of mourning in a human sense? this also goes for the hybrids they worked with, what are their feelings on their relationships and deaths? any regrets, or is it a justified destination?

my next meta coming up soon kind of touches on the last two or so questions, but i’ll elaborate on everything right here. SPOILER ALERT FOR FU.LLMETAL AL.CHEMIST: BR.OTHERHOOD.

gr.eed is, for lack of a better word, sorry that his siblings wound up dying for one reason or another. and while i’m canon divergent, i’ll discuss a little bit of what happens in canon. in my personal canon, gr.eed actually doesn’t die and therefore the “greedling” never comes into fruition. because i headcanon that he escapes his encounter with br.adley, and does not come in contact with the rest of the homunculi. and while i haven’t watched the entirety of br.otherhood yet, i checked his wiki and i approve of his reformed want to find peace and happiness instead of chasing endless riches. it’s what he deserves to go on to find in my opinion. 

he knows all of his siblings are dying, and while it isn’t quite mourning, he’s sorry to himself and to his siblings for the loss. he couldn’t have prevented any of it because the other homunculi would have subdued and killed him on sight due to his abandoning of father to chase his own dreams. so he kind of just sits around in hiding while everyone is killed. he sort of saw it coming though, as he had always imagined the state alchemists / scar / anyone else involved would be able to overpower the homunculi, especially when he first encountered ed.ward and al.phonse in the de.vil’s nest (which i headcanon he escaped from right before he was supposed to meet br.adley). 

gr.eed is sort of peculiar in his sense of relationships, as i mentioned in an earlier meta. he doesn’t see quite see them as relationships like two people making a connection, he sees him adding value to his person via the other person’s commitment (and indirectly, his own commitment). but he was definitely bent out of shape when br.adley and his men began killing his crew, so much in fact that he was going to resolved to killing br.adley himself, but as he watched his friends die, he made the smart decision and bailed before br.adley could find him. and br.adley is an interesting character in that he’s also wr.ath the fu.rious, which i imagine gr.eed knew all along, but doubted it for some reason. in fact, i wouldn’t be surprised if gr.eed didn’t mind wr.ath being killed later on, considering his death an act of vengeance for the chimeras he slaughtered back in the de.vil’s nest. 

he also doesn’t have much regret, because from point a to point b, gr.eed has always been straightforward with his friends. he’s told them that by being his friend, they risk their lives, and it’s up to them whether they stay or go. he might feel guilty for not doing more to protect his friends, seeing as his very much dislikes losing comrades for any reason and sees it as if he’s being robbed. but there wasn’t much he could do ever since wr.ath came in and fucked shit up. so he just ran.

to follow up with my previous meta, gr.eed is as slippery as a weasel. he’ll always look to resolve a situation without using violence, and will use his way with words to alleviate anything that might be tense. on top of this, i always feel as if gr.eed knows exactly what to say in most situations, as he is more analytical than he lets on. this is very rare, but some times he has to pause because a it’s hard for him to unravel a situation, but eventually he gathers his thoughts. 

and contrary to popular belief, gr.eed has more good / neutral intention than any bad intention. he doesn’t plan for his friends to die, though with his status of a homunculi on the run from father, he almost expects just that to happen. and he wants people who befriend him to understand that they very well might die just by being his friend. eventually, “the talk” rolls around early in the friendship and gr.eed is continually surprised by the fact that people would rather stick with him and risk dying. he’s almost dumbfounded by what he could possibly offer to the people who risk their lives by hanging around him. but he partially understands it’s simply because he’s just that magnetic. 

people cling to him because he has a tendency to raise people up and inspire them. he’ll always try to keep his friends positive in his own ways, and his honesty and straightforwardness is what attracts certain crowds.

not only is gr.eed charismatic and persuasive, he’s also selectively and wholeheartedly honest. it’s not like he has a whole lot to hide, so why not be honest? he’s on the run and usually attracts people who are also on the run. but he also has a special kind of charm that tends to attract jus tbaout anyone. this charm can be turned on or off at will, depending on who he’s talking to and if he’s trying to get them on his side. this is what makes him such an effective leader and an generally likable person, on top of being a more morally neutral character in general. 

it would look as if he’s making friends, but gr.eed sees it sort of differently than that. he sees it as adding value to his person. one would think that someone like gr.eed would put himself first and foremost, but that isn’t exactly true. himself, as well as his relationships and possessions, are at equal value, because he thinks you can’t have one without the other(s). that’s why he gets so bent out of shape when he sees his comrades die or become injured or has something stolen from him. because without those relationships or objects, he’s made into someone less wealthy in his eyes. 

after all, he wants wealth, fame, land, women, and everything else that the world has to offer. but don’t think he’ll do just anything to acquire these things. he’s got a high intellect and uses it more frequently than he lets on. he understands where the value lies in building relationships or acquiring goods, and he sees the consequences as well. the matter lies in whether or not he’s going to take the chance.
