Steven Rogers and you are?

“Good morning sir. May I know who you are?”
” Steven Rogers.”
“Excuse me?”
" I said my name is Steven Grant Rogers."
( Not My Work)
Steve and Natasha woke up with a start in the middle of the night, but both relaxed when they realized it was just James crying. "I got it," Natasha yawned, starting to get up. Before leaving the room she kissed her now, dead asleep husband.
As she walked down the hall, her baby's cries grew louder. Natasha slipped into the dim room where James slept and walked over to his cradle. "Hi," she cooed softly as she scooped up the four month old baby in her arms. "What's the matter James, hmmm?"
His only response was more crying. She sighed and gazed down at him lovingly and felt that his diaper was wet. "Poor baby," she said as she laid him down on the changing table.
"Need any help," Steve asked from the door way with a loud yawn.
"Could you go make a bottle for him please," Natasha asked quietly. Steve nodded and walked out of the room quietly as Natasha rocked James back and forth in her arms, trying to calm him down.
When Steve came back James was still crying. He handed her the bottle and watched her feed it to him. James drank all the formula and was silent for a moment then continued to cry. Natasha gave a small gasp when James' cold little foot hit her arm. "So that's why," she mumbled then she looked at her husband. "Grab a couple of his baby blankets and follow me," she said before exiting. Steve sighed and did what he was told.
"Shhh, it's okay James, Mommy's here," she cooed to him as she walked back to her and Steve's room.
Steve followed her quietly, as she gingerly handed him their four month old son and took the blankets from his hand he remained silent. Steve learned a long time ago, just do what she tells you to, no questions asked.
As she remade their bed, making a spot in between where'd they'd sleep for James, he smiled down at the small boy in his arms. He could already see that he had his mother's hair and his eyes. He looked down at James and let his eyes rake over him the way he did four months ago from today. As he examined his son for the thousandth time within the last four months he noted that he had his nose and chin, which made him think that James would have his smile.
As the baby screamed and cried in his arms Natasha quickly remade their bed, this time making a spot for James to sleep in between them. "Shhh, don't cry, it's okay, don't cry. Look buddy, you get to sleep in Mommy and Daddy's room tonight," he whispered to him.
When Natasha was finished she walked over to Steve and said, "Here, hand him to me." When he let go and handed him to here, she immediately began to swaddle James in a blanket. She held him close and rocked him back and forth and quietly sang him his lullaby. Soon their baby boy was asleep.
"How'd you do that," Steve asked as he carefully climbed into bed.
"Simple," she answered as she eased her way onto the bed. "He felt cold so I brought him in here where it's warm." After James was safely between them and both were on either side of them, Natasha carefully leaned over and smacked Steve's arm hard, "Ow," he whisper yelled. "What was that for?"
"For not opening the heating vents in his room," she whispers yelled back. "Now be quiet before you wake him up."
Steve grumbled something under his breath but stopped when he saw his son, laying there sleeping, as innocent as a baby could be. He ran a hand through the little boy's fine red hair. I can't believe that he's here and he's ours. He's so perfect. He's healthy, happy and whole….absolutely perfect. "I can't believe that we have him…." Steve whispered.
"Neither can I," she whispered as she let her sleeping baby clutch her thumb. Being married to Captain America was something that she expected would never happen. But James…..James was a surprise of a lifetime. Never, in a million years did she ever think that she would ever be a mother. If anything she suspected she would die in the field on a mission before that happened. But for eight and a half months she had proof, growing inside her, moving around and kicking, cementing the fact that she would be a mother. And now here was that proof, asleep in between her and her husband, gripping her thumb while swaddled in a blanket.
It still felt strange to Natasha to call him her baby, her little boy, her son. But the words felt so wonderful to say.
To Steve, it felt the same. To say he has a son was a strange thing to him, back in 1940 he dreamed of having a family, but he thought that now it was out of the question. Oh but now that he has his son, he felt like he was in heaven. To him, it was a blessing to see James sleeping soundly in his cradle or in his or Natasha's arms. In a nutshell, he loves his family.
"Soon he'll be talking" Natasha said quietly as she stroked his little hand.
"If he's anything like us he'll say what he thinks when he thinks it," Steve mused. "Then he'll never shut up."
Natasha laughed lightly and swatted blindly at his shoulder. "It's funny 'cause it's true." Steve laughed along with her quietly. They talked for hours and hours about their work, time, and their baby boy.
Soon both Steve and Natasha were asleep.
Rogers?
“Why, Steve, you seem quite bold to wink at me in greeting…” And despite her tease, she held a smirk to herself. “How have you been?
” I’m Fine.”
“Well then, in that case, care to join me for a walk? I was actually going to step out to a diner or something for food and drink.”
" Sure."
