Rita Hayworth
Fabulous photos of the beautiful Rita Hayworth. The top one Rita is wearing my favourite dress from the 1942 film, You Were Never Lovelier.

Rita Hayworth

Rita Hayworth | Рита Хейворт by Olga
Rita Hayworth as Gilda in the 1946 film of the same name. Also starring Glenn Ford.
The Love Goddess was stunning throughout.
A young Rita Hayworth with her radiant smile that so often lit up the screen.
Rita Hayworth in Down to Earth (1947) dir. Alexander Hall
The goddess of dance meets Rita!
She was so beautiful and vibrant in the film. Not the best vehicle to show off her amazing talents but she steals every scene.
Rita as the goddess of dance come Down To Earth as Kitty. Sensational beauty and effervescent dancer.
The film is OK but she shines radiantly in every scene.
Probably the first dancer to use her hair as a prop.
She didn't need male dancers - she was so good on her own.
Rita Hayworth as Gilda in GILDA (1946) dir. Charles Vidor
The fabulous Rita Hayworth in Gilda.
Number 7 is my favourite Gilda gif.
29 different outfits and Rita looked stunning in every one.
Probably my favourite Rita Hayworth outfit in Gilda, 1946 - she looks sensational and alluring.
This is the second film Rita and Glenn Ford starred in together (The Lady In Question, 1940 was the first). They starred in another 3 together.
Rita Hayworth with her beloved dog Pookles. Given by Orson Welles. Name is one of Orson's childhood nicknames.
Rita Hayworth advertising make up. Like today, women copy what the stars are using or wearing.
This is from about 1939.
Rita Hayworth
Rita Hayworth as the Cover Girl, in the 1944 film of the same name. The film turned Rita Hayworth and Gene Kelly into super stars.
Rita was breathtakingly beautiful, danced elegantly and was humorous.
First person to dance with Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly.
“Marlene Dietrich signs autographs for a group of service men while Bette Davis distributes free cigarettes at Hollywood Canteen”
Rita Hayworth in "Down to Earth" (1947).
The film is not brilliant but then there's Rita dancing. This dance routine alone makes the film worth watching. Rita is stunning and so vibrant. You just can't take your eyes off her.
Down To Earth was made between Gilda and The Lady From Shanghai.
One of my very favourite Rita photographs. She looks so beautiful, cool and sophisticated unlike her more general amazing smile photographs. The outfit is wonderful, which shows off her legs brilliantly as well as compliments her slim figure.
The photograph is almost faultless.
It looks like it was taken in about 1942.
Rita’s third film of 1940 was the very mediocre “Susan And God” when she was loaned out to MGM and starring Joan Crawford. Truth be told the scenes without Joan Crawford are much better than the ones with her!
1940 was not a great year for Rita although the next one is “The Lady In Question” and was the first film she starred in with Glenn Ford and director Charles Vidal (their next film together was Gilda).
Rita looks like the woman you wish you could take home to Mama and your Dad would be completely envious. When she smiles in the film she lights up the screen.
Rita Hayworth in her opening dance routine with Fred Astaire in the 1941 hit, You'll Never Get Rich. Having the effervescent Rita Hayworth as co-star gave Fred Astaire a new lease of life. He admitted later, very many years later, that Rita was his favourite partner. He also acknowledged that she was the most beautiful woman he ever worked with.
Gene Kelly & Rita Hayworth in Cover Girl
Strike a romantic pose...
A smash hit for Columbia with Rita Hayworth starring as Rusty Parker and her grandmother. 1944 was the year for her to become a superstar.
Rita looked amazing in her taxi driver outfit especially when she smiled and lit up the screen. Mind pout is also stunning.
To be fair her dance routines with co star Gene Kelly are excellent even though Rita didn't need a dance partner. She was so glamorous and talented she took the limelight when on stage.
Rita Hayworth at home, 1942
Beautiful Rita Hayworth at home apparently doing the washing up by hand. I've never seen anyone look more glamoress doing such a menial job!
