               “I see, would be awfully boring considering he does eat a lot of them.” Belle sighed. This was rather difficult to go about through this. “Like I said, it wouldn’t hurt to make different dishes with eggs. But he also seems like he enjoys meat? Perhaps you can suggest something he would like.”

“Maybe it’s a French thing, but in England no one cares that you read.” Abberline noticed people giving Belle an odd look commenting on her reading. Not to put her down, but it didn’t seem to be the norm in this village. Honestly, Abberline was here to rest before carrying on his way for Paris. He had friends and family to see. Maybe because he was a detective and had a keen eye- or because he was a literal werewolf, but Abberline noticed this young woman was the only one wearing blue. 

“Have you read anything by Jane Austin?” That lady was ahead of her time. 

           “You say no one cares but clearly everyone seems to be concerned about it.” Belle sighed heavily. Just as expected, it wasn’t going to be any different than how she was treated back home. Unusual for a young woman to read or even have a book in hand was seen as disrespectful, odd, wasteful of a lady to read. She could already feel as if this man was going to ridicule her too. Although, she hadn’t expected him to ask this question.

              “Why...yes I have actually. Of course Pride and Prejudice I very much enjoy.”

Belle laughed a bit as she heard him dreaming about cows? Once his arm was moved she sat up, rubbing the sleep out from her eyes. “No, not at all. In fact I…slept very well through the night. I didn’t get another nightmare at all. It sounds like you had a great sleep.”

“You did huh?” Cress grinned a little sleepily, but then yawned as he then was stretching his arms up. Boy, he could relate to Belle though. He felt like he had the best sleep of his life. Blinking his eyes, he looked back at her and then titled his head, “I did…” What did she mean it sounded like he slept well?

“W-wait--I meant that you seemed a bit comfortable! I’m not sure if it was because of me or the bed or...oh dear.” She was quickly trying to explain while her cheeks were beginning to turn red. “You just looked like you got some good rest after traveling so much.”

The creatures trust me but there’s always a chance humans could come with bad intentions and they know that.” A light smile crossed her features as she thought of her next words. “Godmother and I are doing our best to fix that though.”

      “Well, I’m glad you and your godmother still have faith.” Belle smiled. “It truly is a shame to see how ignorant people can be. Without getting to know the person, having the patience to understand others and each others’ flaws and differences. I’m afraid to imagine what your people in the Moors have gone through. I know not a lot of humans would be as trustworthy...”
